Man this brings up childhood memories, when there were lots of these old Doppelmayr T-bars around. Quite some farmers had a lift built on their property back then, and I was born early enough to get to ride them. They've gotten rare, though. My former favourite lift even was driven by a diesel engine, with hydraulic transmission. Love the startup and the running sound these two lifts make, and the support design is pretty rare, too. Makes me happy seeing them running, and you keeping a good eye on them!
Nothing like the satisfying "CHONK" from when the reset button is pressed. And I don't miss those A frame towers! Even our 1978 Doppelmayr thin ass platforms are better than nothing haha. It's cool how the design is pretty much the same on much of it though. They got it right early.
Nothing serious with them as they are very simple machines. Alignment was an issue prior to the audit as all the bushings and pins were very worn out. Since then they have been reliable old machines.
In Poland we had a lots of t-bars which were (I think) inspired by those Doppelmayr's. Unfortunately most of them were replaced by chairlifts. But one of them, produced around 1984 by "coal-mining equipent repairing workshops" is still working.
