I am so grateful to all you OTpreneurs who have podcasts. This 2020 year has been an eye opener for me and has opened me up to starting my own OT private practice someday and actually makes it seem achievable. This is from someone who was NEVER interested in starting my own business prior to this year. You all are inspirational!

I was considering of going to PA school after OT school cz of thr poor pay OTs get but now i want to open my own business/practice in chicago after i paid off my loans/car in 2.5yrs. Maybe on the 4th yr when i have capital to spend and make a business plan during that time and HEAVY research

You can do whatever you want. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just gotta put in the work. Going back to school doesn’t solve the more money thing bc u have to spend to make more…and u can do that with a business.

Who is she using for her biller? And what type of setting ? Outpatient?
@HandTherapySecrets0

I have no idea…some people hire someone in their business, some have an independent contractor that comes in for the billing, and others totally outsource billing and collections. I do the latter.

@@HandTherapySecrets0 is there a rough estimate of outsourced billing costs? Is it rated per session or a percentage of accounts receivable?
@HandTherapySecrets0
@HandTherapySecrets0 2 года назад
@@jessereeves3120 For outsourced billing - it's usually a % of money collected. Some charge a % no matter if it's insurance or cash and others only charge for any claim that they touch. Hope that helps.
