But we do know that they were former board. And the ones that are trying to hurt them are Klingons who also used to be bored. So they re-reset the collective I guess. And created their own little collective. But it is different from the board in the fact that, they don’t lose their individuality as being part of it.
There’s a glaring plot hole with this episode where Chakotay’s fuck buddy says she was assimilated at Wolf 359. Except that Borg cube self destructed and all the drones on it were destroyed. Voyager had some issues with writing sometimes and this is a perfect example.
So there is another plot whole that actually kind of covers this up.. the official ships lost is 1 more than the amount of destroyed vessels find. Many head canon that the ship was assimilated and returned to the borg. Which also explains why we have assimilated klingons and such
They are way older. The main idea is that they existed in a form or another for thousand of years. The current form being around one thousand years at least.
@@superusseljames But they were not lost, were they? And of course he did not want to die, who would want that. But he also was beyond selfish, putting his own life above that of two others. And he also wasn't the best charakter, as far as I can remember. Does not justify murder, but if I had to chose between a weird scumbag (Tuvix) and a Friend (Tuvok) and someone who helped me on various occasions (Neelix), two people who would trust me with their Life.... I would do the same thing.
