@@-8h- Trudeau is sponsoring independent small media groups now by giving them funding and benefits through C11. Of course, their content needs to fit his "lofty" agenda and meet criteria that only liberal minded individuals would ever be approved for. Where does the money come from? The Canadian taxpayer. His digital service tax means companies like netflix are charged millions more for their content to be shown in Canada. As a result netflix increases its prices to compensate for the loss due to the tax. You pay that dividend. To boil it down. Trudeau tells you he is looking out for you. In reality he is stealing your money and giving it to his blindly loyal supporters.

I always thought the CBC was a noble project that was steered by people with morals and a care for Canada. When the veil was lifted and the corruption exposed, well I almost got sick to my stomach. The liberals have proved we need a smaller government with more accountability.

That's exactly how Stephen Harper saw things. The state broadcaster rained their lightning bolts down on him. Trudeau, on the other hand, gifted them a taxpayer-funded bailout and they moved heaven and earth for him. He continues to do it.

The bonuses paid from CBC executives after their recent layoff of CBC employees did anger many people in this country. When non-taxpayers funded media companies have to layoff because the advertising revenue dropped without the endless sources of funding from taxpayers' money. More questions are raised of why taxpayers pay CBC in the first place?

First day as Prime Minister Pierre Poilevre needs to defund the CBC. Steven Harper didn't defund the CBC and we know how that worked out 9 years of Trudeau Liberal Government. @@karenjobagy5822 I don't know what that means, he said PRIVATE. Corporate media didn't get money, they got payroll tax credits which are the same as EVERY company has gotten at one time or another. The Irving refiniery STILL gets the tax break that was given to them in 1980 to weather the energy crisis, thats been about 300 million by now, but nobody says the irving refinery 'survives on our tax dollars' and 'is not private', because that would be ludicrous.
