Zhukov sometimes was harsh on his men. But his contribution to the war itself from 1939 to 1945 is simply "unrealistic" if you tell it to someone at face value. But much like western and german commanders. This man and dozens of other generals really won the war when it came to planning battles. As a fan of soviet and British generals. Youll be remembered in my heart as one of the best generals the USSR had ever seen. Rest in piece Marshal.
The greatest commander of World War 2, On behalf of the imperialistic Universe, we salute you & want the Russian federation to know that we commemorate you for your massive losses, that war was 1 tough cookie, our condolences to the loss of all involved
The greatest was undoubtley Rokossovskij. But he was not allowed to take Berlin cause he wasnt "ethic" enough Russian. Zhukov and Stalin didnt care about waisting hundreds of thousands of russian lives just for personal glory!
If I am not mistaken, Stalin was afraid of him and wanted to get rid of the marshal, but he could not do it because he was very popular. After Stalin, Hruschev sent him into retirement, also, being afraid of him. Apparently, he did not have political ambitions, otherwise, he could have take over the Soviet Union, in no time. The army and the people were with him 100%.
Russian American the greatest Field Marshall in Soviet history and one of the greatest commanders of all time @MarciM40 thank you for the video. You see how much you are loved after your death and field Marshall Zhukov was loved by his people. He is gone but not forgotten, heroes are forgotten but legends never die! I hit the like button na zdrovie, field Marshal Zhukov, URA!
Sounds like Funeral March, by Chopin. Its so amazing that Russia came back from the vast suffering inflicted on the country. Much respect to the russian soldier and people.
It was, actually. I have read that what we know as "the Funeral March" had come to be known as a symbol of dignified mourning, which explains why you hear it in virtually every funeral procession for well known or well respected figures in virtually every nation.
@@scottaznavourian540 Thankfully, the one good part of our more electronic media soaked world is that it is allowing he and people like him to be remembered and restored to their proper places as records are opened and shared. He was, indeed, a great hero to all of the Allies and to his people.
Marshall Zhukov, The Hero of Soviet Union, Greatest Commander, General, Marshall in WW2, He was the Hero Soldier against The Fascist, Nazi Germany and Axis, he will be the Best Marshall in Soviet Union. Rest in Peace, Marshall Georgy Zhukov
