@SHADOWSTARNETWORK I like that he's committing to it. Previous long-running jump series deserved longer epilogues after the final battle, too. Also, the going back to the title bit probably just means we're getting more 'academia' stuff like earlier in the story.

Monster Hunter: Maximilian did a pretty good talk on the graphics recently. The way the RE engine works things look beautiful in motion and action but when you stand still things start to look very flawed. It's not like games like God of War or Horizon that deep dive into every wrinkle of texture on something; it's a level of graphics sampling to save dev time and file space while still looking incredible in the actual gameplay flow. Also go back to MHW you will see the exact same things in that older engine. The game looks beautiful in gameplay and memory but sitting still it really shows its flaws even for a 2018 title with pc high textures. That game straight up doesn't look as good as people remember. FF7Rebirth does a similar thing where zooming in on Cloud's face outside of cutscenes looks wrong. As for the gameplay loop, Tito was right on quests being instanced. That being said, they also confirmed multiple regions, not an open world of zones you can freely traverse between. However what they did say is you could go into an expedition, find a new monster, and that automatically transitions to an active quest kinda like what Wild Hearts did. Another MH creator by the name GaijinHunter also mentioned it felt like this trailer was holding back for SGF and I agree. There was no flagship monster shown, no Proof of a Hero, not even a Rathalos. Very much feel like the real trailer is soon. As for Switch 2? No way. MH has always been invested in multiple consoles and constantly jumping to what feels the most convenient at the moment, and a big talking point in Rise feedback was crossplay/progression. Going this heavily into large scenic environments with that many monsters on screen: we saw what Dragon's Dogma II could do to CPUs with numerous NPCs with their own AI behaviors; a bigger Switch could not handle that when the PS5 BARELY could.

I just feel like theyre gonna pull a wildhearts. Massive zones with more like environmental hazard elements but still a hub. I dont see them changing up the questing formula that much. Also im sure MH team already said they want to do parity going forward with all releases during Rise.
I think while out in the wilds, you can load up new missions on the fly from like a tab, and then x monster will spawn in those areas once you do, you can spend like the whole game out in the wilds if you prefer. Going back to the hub will be where you access your armor and palico and all the customization stuff still Its like youre on a literal safari and you can choose to spawn in lions in one zone 😂 like im sure the wild lands have default instance monsters like the ones in the trailer, but say you wanna fight Velkhana you gotta take the mission and run to the mountain zone

Nick All-Star Brawl 1 was more fun than Multiversus. But yeah, current Multiversus got way worse. It felt awful just playing the first stage of the single player mode.
