The boy that was complaining for no job, please ask him for me, ask him since the new government came to power, how many offices did he submit his resume. In fact, did he ever dressed up and went out for a job search? He is young and healthy why not he come and join the security forces in the country and help us protect our mother land.

Exactly I agree with, some Gambians all they good at is just to complain no matter what......one can't just sit and wait for a job to come to him or her, you either go and find jobs or create one. We have lots of lazy youths and is keep us lacking behind

I’m not a big fan of Barrow however, no president can do it all. The mindset needs to be changed, youths looking low upon certain trades like masonry, carpentry, fitters and the sort. Most of them don’t have a good education or a single trade. Majority of the people only care about their pockets and not the development of the country. No one should go hungry in that small nation with the amount of money generated from the Ports, Revenue, Aviation, Customs, Fisheries, Interior and etc. I’d say over D10 million is swindled from these departments daily, ‘everyone is looking for something to take home’. If half the population do their bit, that country will be paradise and not the “land of the big fish”.

Concreting the roads is a short term solution, interlocking paving blocks would've served better into the future, remember water pipes and other utility pipes will need repairing and replacing at some point, hope the concrete will not become a problem moving forward

The guy is very very right n he said nothing but the honest truth! The money he used to build us roads isn’t from his own pocket but from tax payers coffers , he should do more on youth unemployment.

The problem with the youths is most of them have no good education or a trade. They’re so dependent on family and others. I heard Taf said in an interview that he pays D250 for workers a day but find it hard to get anyone. They look low upon masonry, carpentery, fitters and the sort but will take money from these people to buy “attaya”
@PAIKUN.
@PAIKUN. 3 года назад
@@alnassi I agree! Many seat around and expect the state to bring jobs to their houses or directly hire them! Governments do not create jobs, they make policies that attract the private sector which eventually creates jobs!

I do not know what they actually said spoken in their language. What I noticed when there is they are a long way off from good infrastructure. The roads in Banjul may be great but past Banjul they are almost impassible.
