NPL Scientists are pushing capabilities in measuring with the highest possible precision in time and frequency today.
In this video NPL's Senior Research Scientist in Optical Frequency Metrology, Marco Schioppo, describes how we are achieving this high precision with what we call 'optical players' - the Ultrastable Laser, the Optical Clock, the Optical Frequency Comb and the Optical Fibre Link. With these technologies we are supporting fields such as navigation, communication and synchronisation.
