BOYLE HEIGHTS - A man was shot in the back early this morning. The shooting occured on N State St. near the off-ramp from the 10 fwy east bound. Its unclear if the victim was in a vehicle prior to the shooting or if he was walking on State St. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, unclear how bad his injuries are. LAPD is on scene investigating what led to the shooting.
