This is actually a remake of a song by S.E.S Dreams Come True made in the 90's. All the groups that are under SM entertainment have crazy experimental beats, especially NCT.

This is a very successful remake as they combine their musical style to refresh it without losing what was already there. Aespa's music always brings me joy and comfort when listening.

This is actually a remake of a song from A finland group called nylon beat. The song was called like a fool. It was covered by a kpop group in the 90s called s.e.s. Since then the song became so iconic in kpop that other groups have covered it but this one is aespas remake of it. You should check out the others too 😊😊

I love (and I mean LOVE) the S.E.S version of Dreams Come True, but honest to God, aespa nailed this remake. It's so hard to make good remakes and BoA (1st gen Kpop artist and the producer for this song) did it. BoA's goal was not to make it better than the original, but make it come close and imo she achieved that goal. Edit: Also why'd they make Giselle's alien rap part much squeakier sounding. They could've kept that part like the original, much less squeaky. 💀 Sorry, but that part kills me every time. I applaud both Karina and Giselle tho, idk if I would've been able to rap in made up alien language.

These girls actually worked with S.E.S. to do this remake. They are the origional singers in 1998 ond looked VERY young then. I do not know the member but my memory is going with Boa and Joy? They were both part of this reproduction in the studio. Such a respectful way to honor some of their Idols. These girls are doing good things and I'm here to speak on it. S.E.S. had a metaverse theme for this song way back then. Even the robot was there back then. Look it up.

As others may have mentioned, aespa's "Dreams Come True" is the remake of a classic hit from SM's very first Kpop girl group S.E.S. from the '90s. This whole Station project was produced by BoA -- who is an SM solo artist that has been in the industry for more than two decades -- in collaboration with Bada -- who is a member of S.E.S. Everything from the rewriting and restyling of the song, to the choice of choreography and MV concept was orchestrated by BoA, and she specifically did it all with aespa in mind because she thinks aespa is becoming the S.E.S. for the new generation. aespa debuted in November 2020 and they are SM's first 4th generation group. If you haven't already, you should check out S.E.S.'s original version MV in order to really understand aespa's song and MV concept. The English lines are the same lines from the original version. And the fairy wings and a lot of those dance moves are an iconic part of the original MV and choreography, it's all part of a homage to S.E.S.'s version. It was BoA's idea to give the vocalists rap lines and to showcase the power vocals of the rappers. Hence why Karina -- who is the leader, main dancer and lead rapper of the group -- was given a main vocal part. It just goes to show you, yet again, why they are an SM group. Fun fact: Yoo YoungJin, who is an SM singer, songwriter, main producer and vocal coach, etc., is the one that does the alien rap voice in S.E.S.'s original version of "Dreams Come True." Plus, if you want to see how this whole project came about and the behind the scenes of them making everything, you should check out the first episode of SM's "Re:MASTERPIECE" project. Which is a sort of a documentary look at everything that went into remastering this classic hit. (It's the video that is recommend at the end of this MV.) It was really interesting to see BoA use her years of experience and expertise to mentor aespa and to put everything she has learned in her 21 years in the industry as one of the best female singers and dancers, into creating this project.

Yea it's a remix?/remake of the song sung by an older SM girl group called SES from back in the 90s, if you watch the SES version (it was recently remastered) you can see the parallels in the music videos and it also explains why the English lines are weird since it was a trend in the 90s to mostly just insert English here and there to make it sound "cool" i guess. don't expect 90s kpop to make any sense basically lmao. But the SES version was also a remake. The OG original is by the group Nylon Beat and i believe it was in Finnish?
