Statistics - How to make a histogram using the TI-83/84 calculator

Before doing anything on a calculator, delete the previous stuff by hitting 2nd button and the plus sign (mem.) Press 1 and 7 (forgot the order,) and there shouldn't be any errors. I barely learned this today so I wanted to share this with y'all just in case.

Thank you! I didn’t know anything about my calculator and the instructions were confusing and my teacher didn’t explain everything. So this was a life saver. Okay maybe more like a grade saver. I’m rambling, ok bye.

hi, great video! Quick question. When I plot my graph I got 3 lines that ran horizontally across the bars. Not sure why or how to turn that off. Any thoughts? Thank you!

i tried what you showed in the video, the only difference is i used the plot 2 because i dont know how to delete the plot 1 data, and now it keeps giving me an error, can you tell me how to fix it?

how do you change the number of partitions, meaning the number of bars??

I also had to access 10 common errors when using the TI-84 and correcting and selecting for only the Y1 plot on the Y= button

I entered in my 40 values given and followed your steps but it is giving me a STAT error...suggestions? I reset back to default settings and thankfully it did not clear out my STAT data.

Pressing trace highlights the bar and the point but shows no values for it.

How do you get on a dot plot instead of a histogram

Getting an error on my TI-83 Plus, its a DIM MISMATCH and i cant fix it :(

It’s not working for me! I keep getting a syntax error and idk what is going wrong. I followed every single step... so frustrating. Just trying to do my homework
