For the probability question, I am assuming you are selecting 2 cards and only 1 is put back. So shouldn't it be 4/52 times 3/52 as only one card is put back out of the 2. I am a bit confused. Can you please clarify?
Great question! Let me clarify that for you. In this problem you are still only drawing 1 card at a time. So the order of events is drawing 1 card, putting it back, and then drawing your second card. Because of this the probability of drawing an Ace does not change from the first to the second draw because in both cases you are drawing from a full 52 card deck.
