Honestly, sometimes I feel like people do a lot in highschool, it's nice but isn't it draining. How do you have time for yourself. The college application is stressful and seeing ppl getting all these scores is . But I always try to do my best. Just do your thing, what you do best and we'll all succeed.
@@BenitaOdiete very very true. Sometimes I think to myself if sacrificing your time for yourself and sleep is worth it. To me, high schoolers are still children and I feel like much of their fun childhood is replaced with pressure. Everyone who applies to these schools probably deserve it, but in the end it is very hard and u have to be a little lucky. If you get rejected, it's not the end of the world. From this process at least you can learn more about yourself and what you want for your future. Best of luck mates.
When a brilliant and motivated teen has done as much as she could and has a lot of resources - consultants since middle school, helpers and drivers and tutors, it is totally possible. 🤗 Most of the kids from international schools have this type of resources. I am totally not referring to this smart girl - my child attended school in Hong Kong and all his friends have developed phone apps and most of them have their own charities.
@@jcla2540 this is true my mom's friend got added in a chinese app group where smart graduated students waste their smartness by charging money to do school work for you and help you cheat in exams and have the whole package for college. My mom's friend said how wrong this is and reported it and left.
most people just don’t try. i am not the smartest out there but i did this kind of stuff in high school, you just need to give yourself enough time. also she made a website for everything lol
Wow, congrats on Stanford! I live in the bay and ur gonna love it here. How did you study and get 5s on all those APs? I'm also an aspiring Stanford admit and want to bolster my academic portfolio😊
Hi I just wanted to say that your video is really inspiring and really helped me glimpse into the college application scene! I have one question, how did you create your two organizations (HER and Seribelle)? Do you fund the endeavors by yourself and did you need a license to produce and sell them? Thank you so much for answering my question it really means a lot as a high school sophomore 🥺
Wont even lie, this girl made my calming stress rise up. Now I’m freaking out bc I’m not the founder of anything. I need to make an impact but how the hell do I do that? My school offers nothing and I know no one.
If the school doesn't offer anything take a look at what it's offered in your town/region. Volunteer, create a RU-vid channel/blog with a scope, apply for summer schools or programs, check for internship programs for high school students, go to competitions. Important is, you are active, have initiative and have a scope in life. Just make sure you do not randomly chose your activities. You might also want to take as many AP courses as you can. But again, her way is not the only way and it always depends where you want to apply, what you want to study, do you (or not) have a legacy, how your financial situation is, etc. On one hand, she had exceptional extracurricular activities, on the other, her marks were not the best ones for Ivy League. Other students most likely had it the other way around.
I have seen thousands of stats and ecs videos, but this is the most impressive of all! Congratulations on your acceptance:) Thank you so much for sharing
@@stavp6673 Ru kidding me? International students have the lowest chance of acceptance. Look at how many havard acceptances are in China, India or other Asian countries each year...All single digits, out of a total of thousands of applications.
Ummm no they don't, especially overrepresented Asian countries like China, India, Vietnam, South Korea, etc. Western European countries like England and France do send a disproportionate amount due to white elitism.@@stavp6673
Wow! Your stats are amazing. Congratulations for committing to Stanford University this fall. That's a great school indeed. My son is a junior there, from Bhutan, and he says that the campus life is lively, but the duck syndrome is real in the Farm. But, he's been doing great thus far. Go enjoy the Stanford vibes!👍
When my daughter and I set out to watch college decision reaction videos this evening, little did I know that we would end up discovering one of the most impressive young people we've ever seen. You set an amazing example. Congrats! (And go Thailand! My favorite country in the world. 🙂)
@@PearyChot by the way i have a question😉If there is someone in your HER founder team who is older than you and apply to colleges before you , and he/she told the admissions office about the organization and saying he/she is the founder and at leadership position. Will this affect your application?
Congratulations on your academics and extracurriculars! It is very impressive! I will be earning my AA degree in Liberal Arts next month! I am doing pretty well at a 2-year college. My overall grade point average is a 3.1 out of 4.0 scale. My institution grade point average is a 3.35 out of 4.0 scale. It was from last semester. Also, I am working on my second book which is called My Life Throughout with Autism and Being a Military Child. I will be getting my first book published next month after it gets reviewed. Once I get my first book published, I will let you know. Next step is that I will train for acting. Then, I will be working on my BA degree in Broadcast Journalism. Acting and journalism are part of who I am. I was born in upstate of New York. I lived there in my whole early childhood until age 5. Because I had to travel all over the states due to my dad’s job in the military service. He is technically my stepdad, but I always call him dad because I grew up with him. I was born from Puerto Rican family, and I was raised from Colombian family. I am full Puerto Rican and half Colombian. I grew up with my Spanish speaking family. I have a younger brother in my mom’s side. Also, I have four younger sisters and one younger brother in my bio dad’s side. Also, my second younger sister is graduating from high school as well! I really enjoyed watching your video because it has inspired me to improve as a better RU-vidr. I will announce my first book on RU-vid after it gets published. Also, I have a RU-vid channel. I have been posting videos within few years. Then, I went back to post videos about a year ago which is going to be in May. Again, you did a great job with the video! You have great content! It is very impressive that you did! I am very proud of you! Keep up the great work! Good luck with Stanford University! My name is Andres by the way! It is pleasure to meet you. God bless you and your family! ❤️🙏
@@ningurp281 I finished 9th grade now I’m gonna be in 10th grade in august :) started a club with one of my friends based off of women’s health and we will see how it goes next yerab
i love hearing ab ur application because it is so genuine!!! ur not just stacking on different extracurriculars to look good for the resume, you truly enjoy what you do ❤
omg you're amazing! congrats! I was admitted to Stanford as well, through REA, and will be attending this fall! So excited to be surronded by hardworking people like you!
Hi!! Omg I just came across ur video i just started 11th grader but from the beginning of ur video we have similarities!! 😊 I’m also an international student at a private school in Saudi Arabia and I’m honestly so confused if I can do anything or apply to anything since they don’t really have things here .. we don’t have aps or any of that we just take ever subject which is like 9 classes. I have a question how did you study for SAT, ilets, toefl??
WOW YOU DID SUCH A wonderful job !!!! SO proud ! ..... I believe it First shows your own dedications and second the resources and support that was available to you ! , I said this because some students might think that if they do so many things at the same time , they might be accepted but I think if you are a student who do not have all these resources, do not put so Much pressure on yourself , focus on projects that you truly care and you can make meaningful impact with it !
Tysm! I’m going to tell my cousin ab this video! He is going to Cornell uni! He has been rlly happy, but he did try to explain this to me and now I can tell him I understand!
I'm just wondering where you can take the SAT test to see your overall result (Reading and Writing, and Math sections). Is it on College Board? I can't even find it.
Congrats on your acceptances? Do you share supplementals, and if so, could you share your UPenn supplements? I’m applying this year, and Wharton is my dream school
I’m now in 9th grade, and this video really inspired me a lot!!!❤ Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and doing those great things. I was actually planning to build a website mainly about sharing information and viewers can also contribute to it, however I was quite lost to how to do these interactions among me and the viewers, and also how to build up and maintain the website as well. Could you post a video about building up and maintaining these websites?
These ec's are incredible, do you have any pieces of advice for people who also want to chase their passions such as founding organizations to help kids who are less fortunate and don't get the same opportunities but don't know how to go about doing so? I've been wanting to help my district which is one of the poorest and least advanced compared to the city and I always hoped to help kids here who don't even have proper balls or a proper court to play basketball.
Hi! I’m starting a youth community where you can join to learn and gain exclusive access to events and workshops hosted by our mentors and connect with other youths. If you’re interested, please head over to bit.ly/uniteworld to apply! You can indicate your idea/plans/aims for the project you plan on starting or how you hope to leverage UNITE's platform and network to help others in the bio section.
Okay I believe 1480 and 1550 with SAT scores because if she faked sat on her video the Federal Bureau would've jumped at her neck already. Also agree that she got As on most of her classes since throughout my brief experience with high school in Texas up until Spring 2022 the teachers were generous but just difficult with assignments (which meant I got As and Bs on every class Fall Senior semester and maybe just 2 Cs my final semester tbh). But 5's throughout entire 2020-21 and 2021-22 AP Exams? Now I'm calling Miss Manyasiri's bluff. She must've made a Google Form or something there's no way she got 5's in those AP classes. Truly surprising.
Hello !! I just want to say that you are such an amazing and inspiring individual. Being able to build up all those organizations and actions isn't easy and you built them so well. I'm super happy lots of great and excellent universities accepted you and willing to improve your amazing skills, organizations, and actions you have made. If I could ask, do ivy league or top 10 universities in the US require to have atleast 10 extracurriculars and activities outside and inside of school? If so, does all the extracurriculars must be based on leadership/innovatives? Thank you and keep up the good work ! I wish you luck in your chosen university, you can do it ! :)
Wow you are truly so amazing! can I ask who runs your website? did you hire a professional website developer for HER or did you design your website on squarespace or other templates?
Thanks a ton from india this was INSANELY helpful❤❤❤❤. Also, how did you manage to get your reading and writing SAT score up by that much in your second attempt? What strategies/resources did u use? Thanks again.
Hi , My school offers only 8 AP classes so if i get a 5 on each of them will I get college credit for like whole one year and would my fees be exempted?
I love your video and thanks for sharing so much! I was wondering how did you self study for an AP exam? Do you just go to College Board and they'll have the content for you or did you do anything additional? Thanks!
Some student scholars tell you the places you gotta go to get to where your dream university is. This was one of them. Miss Manyasiri went with a lot of community groups to do competitions and receive awards, and if my parents searched for these locations we would've totally tried them. This was a apecial video, and its understood that the effort and persistent she put into her education is now gonna be supported with scholarships and acceptance to Stanford, California-Berkeley, and many other unniversities where she can continue her education. Thanks Manyasiri, and good luck! You represent your high school excellently.
I really like how you are an international student! I'm an intl '24 from Canada looking to get into UPenn... Not Wharton though, just B.A. Econ hahah. I have decent grades in school, but really fucked up my SAT (only 1540) & APs (I self studied for all. Got a 5 in Grade 9 for 1 subject, two 3s in G10 and one 4). I'm really hoping they'll read my profile against my context and not care too much 😭
Hi, this is very informative, thank you! When did you establish H.E.R.? I'm a current 10th grader also interested in starting a nonprofit, but I don't know if it is too late now, seeing as I am headed towards junior year in a few months.
