i rarely have a migraine that lasts only 72 hours. it’s oct 23 and i’ve had 4 migraine free days this month. have yet to find any treatment or combination of treatments that eliminate them. having spg treatments has helped, but nothing seems to be a magic pill 😢
migrainosus migraines can actually last way longer than 72 hours it can last for more than 3 days basically I've had them last for a week and they're actually a very rare variant of migraine that not many people have The worst thing too is you can't eat or drink or even sleep when you have these type of migraines. In less than 1% people have migrainosus migraines by the way in this information comes from my brain doctor migraine neurologist doctor
Thank you for expanding on this! Im currently suffering from one of these migraines and i have never had a migraine like this before... its exactly as you said... its lasted mostly all day but gets worse for many hours hours then its dull when i take medicine but then gets worse again.... I'm having really bad nausea and feel like vomiting.. yesterday i couldn't sleep until 5am and probably slept 3 hours...the migraine is there all day and I've had headaches for the last 4 days, but the really severe migraine started yesterday... I've taken tylenol and propronolol, muscle relaxers, celebrex and now i cant stand it anymore... nothing is working so I'm going tomorrow to urgent care... its really scary:( and i have a HIGH pain tolerance.. I'm definitely not hungry because of the nausea and i haven't drank much water.. i feel so dehydrated and i also had flashes and leg weakness and numbness
