I dont understand how Rockin' All Over The World was cut from this due to copyright because its availble elsewhere on youtube. Maybe because it the official Quo youtube channel?
@@asmith6647 Loved the frantic four from the age of 14... and still listening to them today. Although they are not gonna play live anymore, because of the passing of Rick Parfitt and Alan Lancaster. But they are gonna be heroes in my heart forever! I am 61 today! ❤
Quo is really an underestimated band. Everytime one thinks they are over the hill, they come back and rock better than before. They can never replace Rick, but this Richie is great! Whether you rock as band or stay at home. Quo is the immortal band, that keeps on rocking. Rock'n'Roll never dies!
Mr Rossi, mr Bown, mr Edwards, mr Cave, mr Malone - chapeau bas! Best greetings from Poland. I would like You to play to the end of the world and one day later.
What more do you want?? Francis is in great vocal shape, Richie is doing a GREAT job and they are all obviously enjoying it. One of the freshest Quo shows I‘ve seen in years! This group still rocks like no one else does.
A streaming music service a few months ago recommended a band called Status Quo. Flipping through the albums available, I started with "Hello!" and gave it a casual listen while driving - until I got to "Softer Ride." I thought, "Whoa, who are THESE guys?!?!?" Little did I know that I had stumbled upon the greatest band that America has never heard of. How they didn't get huge here has to be one of the most baffling things in rock history. They've sold as many albums as Pink Floyd, and yet you won't see that on the usual lists of all-time greatest-selling artists. But I found 'em, and I'm so glad I did. And that they are still around and just put out a new album makes it even sweeter. I sure hope they come to America, but I wouldn't blame them if they didn't. If they do, I'm going, wherever they are, by god. I'm going!
Unfortunately those of us from the States only know Pictures Of Matchstick Men from 1967. It was their only US hit. I remember hearing it on the jukebox at the beach. I would have been on the Quo wagon a long time ago if they had airplay here.
Quo are much maligned, even here in the UK. Accused of only having 3 chords etc. Fact is they are one of the greatest live acts you can wish to see. I kind of envy you just discovering them, you have a great journey ahead, sure there are some mis-steps but they are few and far between....enjoy the journey and if you ever get a chance go see them live...I promise you will not regret it. I've seen them a good few times, last was at Hyde Park in 2016...check that out as well...hottest day I can remember and Quo (even acoustic) rocked the place
@@paulfranklin8636 I've felt the same way about those who get to hear Led Zeppelin for the first time. I'm always on the hunt for music I've never heard before in hopes of finding the group that somehow got away, and I struck paydirt in Status Quo. They don't have a distinctive front man like Robert Plant, Roger Daltrey or Freddie Mercury. They don't have a groundbreaking lead-guitar gunslinger like Jimmy Page, Brian May or Eddie Van Halen. But the sum of their parts is like no other, and the songs kick ass and are full of surprises. They haven't been to America in a long time and are booked through 2020, so I don't know if I'll ever have a chance to see them. I did see that in the 1970s they opened in this country for acts such as ZZ Top and Aerosmith, so it's crazy to me their exposure didn't set off a firestorm. This is the kind of rock music America LOVES, but somehow Status Quo slipped through the tracks.
Am from Canada and only found this group by accident flipping through different groups online. Cannot believe their managers never helped them get to the U.S. or Canada. Great group!
Quo fans are still scratching their heads about this (and the band probably do the same at times). There's no quick and easy answer. Quo had several attempts in the US but ultimately, I think the odds just worked against them...
They toured a few times over the pond but couldn't get any radio play apparently. Some said they were too rough and ready for the sensitive ears over there at that time.
Yep. Mightily sick of the negative comments. Stepping into Rick's shoes is like replacing Malcolm Young. I guess some people would just prefer there was no Quo at all..
Been a fan since the 70’s. Got to be honest, Francis has a new lease of life and Richie is more than worthy of occupying stage right. Fantastic performance.
Real men, play real music - very awesome rock music! Status Quo songs are great and still work. These pure rough guitars are amazing! John/"Rhino" and Richie do also great singing performances. Francis, "Rhino", Andrew are all over 65, towards 70 or over 70. It's hard to believe. Big respect! Not many people can do this. Andrew can just everything and anything. He is an extremely good musician. Quo forever! Which bands willcwe find great in 20 years?
Fuck me where have I been ?? have heard of Status Quo for YEARS ..but never paid attention to them...only because i was into other stuff back then...but wow these guys are great!!! I knew they were from "across the pond" but man they do boogie woogie rock n roll very well!!! a well oiled machine they are...
This is what you call Kicking ass!!! Quality combined with Energie . Respect! I wish I could do the same when I am 70’years old Respect Francis! And we”ll never forget Rick
Ahh. 1976, hot steamy summer nights at the Winning Post heavy rock disco doing the backbreaker to Caroline, watching the balcony MOVE at Hammersmith Odeon, dodging party sevens at Reading in '78, 7 years later seeing them them get 80,000 people on their toes from note one at Live Aid....and they're still doing it. Quo are in my blood, they were the sountrack to my life and still are. I'll be having Down Down at my funeral. RIP Rick, your spirit lives on.
The legacy of Quo certainly lives on after Alan and Rick passed away. Still hard punching. I have seen them about 12 times in Australia from 1975 on. Miss the old gritty Festival all in Brisbane where they sold out at least 3 nights. I would have loved to have seen them at the Glasgow Apollo when they recorded over 2 nights. Possibly nothing better than a Glasgow crowd. Saw Queen after them and Quo still were better live as they gave it all. Young ones just do not know what they are missing with a smaller gritty venue. Quo rocked as the best band I ever saw out of about 50 so far.
An absolutely brilliant Concert by an absolutely brilliant Group. They always have been, no matter what people may say. I won't mention that I'm 66...oh I just have! Whoops!
New line-up is great and had re-invigorated the band. Saw Quo from 1974 in Australia and have seen them about 15 times. This band still rocks. So so tight. Rick would be impressed and happy.
I've never enjoyed a gig more than how I enjoyed this! Rock 'n Roll🤘 Long live Status Quo! Long live Mr. Rossi, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Bown, Mr. Malone and Mr. Cave!🎸🎶 Greetings from Finland 🇫🇮 to all Quo fans!
Status Quo forever.Richy does a wonderfull job on rythm guitar .Rhino is brilliant on bass ..Francis is still rocking the drummer keep the beat fantastic.even Andy Bown is a master on the keyboard and guitar.rock on guys.
What has happened with music there is nothing like this anymore. Bands don't play instruments they dance so we don't hear this wonderful music and the sounds coming from the guitars I've always loved the music!! These guys have made some great songs!!
Rick was so amazing. Met him a few times. He didn't want the publicity, just wanted to be a normal guy with the bear of a dog. OMG he was so sexy and what a voice
My first album was "Ma Kelly’s Greasy Spoon", I fell in love with all of you, but most with Francis. Your´re still amazing. Thank you for being in this world.
just by pure by chance I just happened to hear this set live on the radio when I was on holidays in Turkey this year , sat on the balcony , sound up full ( for the whole apartment block to hear ), sipping a cold beer and rocking my socks off on a nostalgia trip of old classics ..... love it ...
I ever loved what you guys do!!! Since my early childhood, i've rocked with my dad who had a band himself ..... so i got all this cool stuff from dad ,also mom 👍🏽😁😎😅👍🏽 Status Quo forever !!!!!!!! 😘👍🏽😎
Hi, I'm very impressed how heavy they still are, even without dear Rick. Have you heard about the UK winter tour for 2020? Pity it's only seven dates, not like the old days!
Barrie Jackson They are really heavy sounding! I live in Sweden and still no Backbone tour dates for us yet. Hope they will add some dates for Sweden soon! 🤘🎸
When I first saw Richie I thought to myself is this Rick's son ...he is very { younger version } like Rick. If he grows his hair & adds bit of blonde we are there.....he his a chip of a huge block. They still got it !!!!
I have loved the Quo for forty years and this was the first time without the legend that was Rick Parfitt and to be honest I wasn't expecting much BUT I was pleasantly surprised they still sound awesome and the new guy is brilliant. KEEP ON ROCKING ALL OVER THE WORLD......STATUS QUO FOREVER
@Jimmy Durex theres having an opinion, and then being detrimental to the band, and throwing personal slander to Francis, not saying that your done this.. but, after seeing it everywhere, you kinda tar the same negativity with the same brush... i respect those who like the FF... im more pf a fan of Quo between 84 and about 94.. but thats just me..
How did I miss this? Love seeing them on stage, Richie is a great fit & has mastered Ricks sound on guitar. Just miss Rick’s brilliant voice. Here’s to Dec 2022 at Wembley 🍺 🫖
