Status Quo - Rain Reaction! 

I’m still confused why America ignored this band in their glory 70’s completely. Francis said bad management and a corrupt US music business (radio, promoter and record companies). So after 1976 they decided to ignore the USA and put more focus on Europe, Australia and UK!

The Original & best Frantic Four line up of Status Quo. I'm 61 & have been listening to this band since I was 7 years old. Best live band I have ever seen & I've seen quite a few. So far you have just scraped the surface as far as their song list goes. I still have all the albums on vinyl & listen to them regularly. Everything sounds better on Vinyl. Keep going down the Quo rabbit hole & enjoy.🎸🎸

What you are watching is the original fab 4 of status quo sadly we have lost Rick parfitt and Alan Lancaster .

I say that Parfitt is one of the best rhytm guitarplayers.

Brilliant. Quo at their finest. The other single from the album, (Blue For You), entitled, 'Mystery Song', (you'll know why when you listen to the lyrics), is another fantastic song from them. Preferably the album version as it's longer and expands on the overall sound. Quo were very much an instrumental band. A great many of their album tracks, (particularly those that ended them off), were largely instrumental and lasted 8 or 9 minutes in length. (We won't mention the live versions that used to go on for 20 minutes.!) Maybe, it might be worth reacting to a couple of those? 'Forty-Five Hundred Times' being the obvious choice. Then, there's always, 'Slow Train', or their version of, 'Roadhouse Blues.' You could always go back a bit further and do, 'Is It Really Me/Gotta Go Home.'

I first heard STATUS QUO in 1968 when I was 7 yrs old, it was, of course, Pictures of Matchstickmen. I thought "what the hell is that,?" then I heard " Down The Dustpipe " in 1970 and I thought, "what the hell is that?" Then in 1973, I saw an album cover that had the name STATUS QUO on it at my cousins house and I thought " is that the same Band that did those other songs? "

Hi! I get so happy for your reactions on Status Quo! I've been a fan of this band since '84 when I was 7 years old. So few seem to have even heard of them in the States. You are doing a great service and you obviously like SQ! Keep on going, thers's PLENTY more to discover!

Try something from the late 90’s.. Status Quo Twenty Wild Horses (from the Album Under the Influence 1999) or another classic Break the Rules (from Quo 1974). Let’s rock 🤟
