Because there is an inherent bias in the system. The laws continue to favor women, even though they are capable of working. In time past, women worked as “homemakers.” The laws have yet to make this bias equal. Women want equal rights, so they should have equality across the board. He was smart enough to get a lawyer, which was a good move on his part. He is Primary/ Custodian of the children, and she didn't get alimony or the home. But she became the non-custodian parent, I don't think she saw that one coming.

None of that matters and judges will normally side with the woman no matter how terrible they obviously are. This is one of the few times i have seen actual justice come out of a courtroom, but the sad thing is she will likely borrow money from someone to get a lawyer and have all of this reversed. We are supposed to be equal but women enjoy MANY benefits from our legal system and commonly cheat on men, have a court render the men unable to support themselves, and throw them to the wolves/threaten them with consequences constantly if they fail to meet the ex's demands. Except that she didn't point out he shouldn't be paying anything in child support since the kids live with him 50% of the time. Child support is for non-custodial parents. That means a parent where the child only lives with them 30% of the time. That's why child support is 20% of income. 20 + 30 equals 50. The Judge did the right thing by booting her out! But the Judge should have done more. IMO, the Judge should have given him full custody of his kids, until she can show she can support herself at a minimum. You have to remember, this lady doesn't even work. Unless her new boyfriend can support her, she likely going to homeless or in housing which will likely be too small for all her kids and boyfriend.

He isn’t paying her child support. He is paying the state back for part of the welfare his wife and her kids are getting from the state. I think that was the TANF reference. (Yep. I checked. The internet says this is a Washington state program Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.) That is why the state statute assumes only 32 hours per week and minimum wage for his wife and doesn’t allow home credit.

Women use this lie all the time to gain more financial support. The courts automatically take them at their word, with zero evidence. I had this happen to me. Had to jump through all kinds of hoops.. Had to pay for psych evaluations, and all kinds of crap. And because my income was higher, I not only had to pay for mine, but hers too! This was already on top of the CS I was paying. IMO, it should have stopped when her psych eval came to non-conclusive, but nope. The courts just kept wanting and trying to give her custody.. Until I got a new Judge that put a stop to it.

My favorite is how she says he raped her but she didn't cry out, didn't say anything, didn't tell him to stop, nothing. Now she's claiming that she did but clearly the judge isn't buying it. Especially with how she's acting. A woman who has been raped doesn't go out and have sex with another man and get pregnant. They stop having sex for a time and have intimacy issues usually. And they often are very fidgety and nervous. She looked entirely calm and self-controlled.

IMHO, being she has no way to support herself, and there's no issue with domestic violence on his part. He should get 100% custody of his kids. When she can support herself, with a job, and are able to see the kids, she can the petition the court for some kind of custody.

I suspect he wanted to ensure the payments were made every month on a timely basis, instead of leaving it up to the soon to be ex wife.

Which is a huge flaw with the system IMO. Your ability to get a fair and reasonable out come shouldn't come down to your ability to pay for a lawyer. For some context I knew someone whose lawyer dropped her because he moved to a bigger firm that required a 10000 retainer be maintained at all time. While he was her lawyer he botched her case because frankly he was overworked, stretched thin and working for peanuts. Her ex on the other hand got a great lawyer. Not the best he could afford but the best she could afford. Imagine being told by a judge that you not only loss but that you need to come up with a little over 1000 to pay your unemployed ex husband's legal fees or go directly to jail.

That said I do agree women in general have a higher degree of responsibility when it comes to sex and who they have it with. Men are consistent, anytime, anywhere any woman. Women must remember they are the ones who get pregnant, carry and raise the child if father disappears. I this case I see the moved in boyfriend disappearing when his free room, board & bed partner evaporate. After the Judges ruling for her to move out I would not put it past this woman to turn the charm back on and try to get back into good graces with her husband. First she picks a fight, then she claims she has to stay with family/friends ... when in reality she's going to her boyfriend. I'm the mom I made $30,000 a year 2 kids full custody because Dad did not want any responsibility .Dad made $80,000 a year as a plant manager his child support amount was $167 per month . I owned the home prior to the relationship and I also cover all dental and medical premiums and out of pocket. We had a female judge .

That's been gradually changing for the past several years due to increased awareness of the skewed family court system.

But listen to how the State lady said they imputed the wife income based on minimum wage at 32 hours a week. They don’t tolerate parents not working anymore.
