Kim Woodburn and Mike Chalut are helping a stay-at-home mum and her family get their messy and cluttered house organized. Mum Melody can't keep up with her 2 kids and husband's laziness so needs some professional help. What does that mom do all day though? I'm a stay at home with five kids. I can understand your house being a mess like this when you have little ones at home because it's almost impossible to keep it clean but when your kids are in school what are you doing all day if you're not cleaning up your house? It legit takes me 2 hours a day to keep my house clean.

Totally agree with you I’m the same I was a stay at home mum for 5 years all I done was clean my boys are now in school and I’m now back in work and cleaning the house my partner don’t do much he works full time as a lorry driver xx

I think it’s lack of motivation, I believe cleanliness is taught at a young age, if she’s a stay at home mom and the kids are at school most of the day she has no excuse, if you’re a stay at home mom you should realize that you have some role in the cleaning of the house, I think she should offer incentives for her kids if they clean the house and maintain a healthy lifestyle, we were taught in elementary school that cleanliness is so important, You have to teach them at a young age, Discipline is also important as well 👍

I love 👵 from the begging! My daughter would help me with anything execp cleaning her toys, so i am finding out is very important for her to do so. I don't want to raise a lazy girl😊

Maybe homeschools? Idk, my kids have full time therapies and one child has 12 specialists and the other has 6, so we spend 5 days a week at appointments, then homeschool, and the weekends we do field trips and meet ups, so I stay up and clean at night

I sure wish there were someone here in the US to help. Their house is just like this. My daughter has five kids and no one will pick up or help. She’s suffering anxiety over this.

You know what helps is to bag everything up in trash bags If the family wants it they have to go dig it out of a trash bag and put it away. When my kids were lazy and wouldn't clean up their rooms I went and got a snow shovel and a garbage bag and put everything in the trash. They went and dug out what was most important to them and found a place for it and I threw the rest of it away. My house stayed clean after that.

Honestly I think they just don't know how to be clean. They need to be taught how to form new positive habbits. It's so easy to judge messy people without really understanding why they actually struggle to be tidy.

If there are sticky fingermarks or Crayon/felt tip from the kids, baby wipes get rid of anything. They're also good on dried carpet stains to get the worst off, then sponge rest off with cold water.

Cobwebs, fingerprints, makeup smudges, scuffs from people's shoes or furniture bumping against the walls, grease from cooking.... I'm a professional painter, and I've seen lots; the majority of my painting work is surface prep, so I'm very intimate with the stuff that happens to walls!

getting a dollar store dust mop and dusting them off every other month is sufficient unless you have food or something on the walls. base boards should be done every month. you will be amazed at how much that will help eith dust and allergies

Mothers have the biggest responsibility in the household. She's the one who suppose to be teaching her kids life skills, especially if their teenagers. You, should have started when they were young. The difference between Polynesian Children, we learn everything from both of our parents, no matter if their full time workers. We, the children have to make sure that our house is clean before our parents comes home. I always said to myself when I watch videos like this, that its the mothers fault. Especially if you're a stay at home mom. This is no excuse for the mom. Remember who is the parent. Don't ever let the kids talk back to you. Here, in Hawaii, if we ever talk back to our parents, we get cracks right in our mouth, and from that crack, we better make sure it doesn't happen again. These spoiled kids, will NEVER make it in Hawaii.

Hi I’m in UK. My mum made me & my sister do laundry,cleaning,wash pots from age of 10. No questions asked. We both keep our houses clean now. My mothers flat is not. I go there & do it for her. Some people just lazy with cleaning.🤦🏻‍♀️🧼🧺

She was probably well depressed, then on top of it not getting enough nookie because the 8 year old was sleeping in between her and her husband! A good form of discipline is to say "one out for one in", meaning that if you want to bring anything in, you have to get rid of the equivalent number of items. Otherwise I'd go insane!

My mom would have taken away our computers if we talked to them like that. I grew up in a Minimalist house. Every Saturday mom woke us up early. She played music really loud and we and we knew we had to do our chores. We did it really fast so we could have breakfast. She would let us play all day long if we did our work. Parents need to start the kids early and teach them how to clean. Also they need consequences if they don't. I am a Nanny now. I see my nanny kid acting this way and mom does nothing. So she needs to do something fast.

Grammas almost always the wise voice of reason. I raised my five kids alone, studying, being sick my house was cleaned. I went to war countries, they managed to have house as clean as possible. They have just psychological problem. Nothing else to do.

l agree the kids should be taught to look after themselves and their space. But the dad works all day, the mom stays at home doing nothing, and he has to do the DIY? She should be doing it! And the cleaning, and the cooking, and the laundry.

Naw, he needs to step up with the upkeep of the house as well (as in DIY projects). If the wife has the kids and house to maintain, he can sacrifice some downtime to make his house more valuable and liveable. The wife needs to step it up big time though so he is able to do projects in an organized manner!

@@mutoidliz2320 At 16 and 8 they don't need the constant fussing that babies and toddlers do. They're at school all day. Hopefully she takes the time to go over their day, help them with homework, and make them supper. Judging by the boy's toys all over the house, he plays alone a lot.

The blonde presenter, Kim Woodburn, is British. This show is a spinoff of a British tv show called, How Clean is your House, which is much better than this production in my opinion.
