Thanks for the session. One doubt: Can spouse on open work permit ( applied with student (January-2022) with VISA issued date in July 2021) travel to Canada earlier (like in September /October to start looking for job)? Student will only be travelling before 4 weeks of program starts. Can spouse travel earlier?

Hello , I have got admit for a 2 year program for 2021 May intake . My passport is valid till 2025 July , I will be graduating on May 2023 , I want to know whether I am eligible for 3 year work permit after studies ( until 2026 ) because my passport expires on 2025 , what can be done for this issue ?
The validity period of the post-graduation work permit may not go beyond the applicant’s passport validity date. If the applicant’s passport expires before the validity period of the post-graduation work permit, the officer should note this reason in the “Notes” box, in the Global Case Management System. The post-graduation work permit applicant then has to apply for a work permit extension upon the renewal of their passport to receive the full validity of their post-graduation work permit. Post-graduation work permits can be extended only when the length of the permit could not be provided at the time of the application, due to the expiry date of the applicant’s passport.
A post-graduation work permit (PGWP) may be valid anywhere between eight months and up to three years. The length of your permit will depend on the length of the study program you completed in Canada. The permit won’t be longer than the length of your study program. www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=509&top=15
Hi, I have a doubt regarding PGWP. If am taking a 1 yr PG diploma course in canada and after reaching there am completeting it and taking another 1 yr pg diploma .How many years will i get a PGWP since am taking 2 diffrent PG diploma? Is that option advisable?
Hi Rino A post-graduation work permit may be issued based on the length of the study program for a minimum of 8 months up to a maximum of 3 years Maximum of 3 years. In the video he is explaining in detail about that
