@@Willtravelz He's right, there's been cases I red where people are refused a re-entry; it depends on many factors but they could deny you entry and you'd be in a bad situation your stuff being in Vietnam... Probably not going to happen the first time you do this, but the more you do it, say the 3rd or 4th time consecutively then the risk increases. I think there are services you can pay to ensure a smooth passage, not sure about those.

@@oceanwave4142 I've never heard of a story of someone having this happened in Vietnam. In fact there was two guys on my bus that were doing this for the third time in a row. Even go on RU-vid and look up denied for Vietnam Visa at border. It doesn't really happen.

It has a little risk that you will not get a visa and your belongings are in Vietnam. For me a better way is to leave Vietnam for about 1-3 months and then back again. Me and my wife will stay in our second home inthe Philippines and from there we will travel to Vietnam and stay up to 3 months. The cost to fly and stay to another country will not be more compared to a visarun. I go for the saver way ;-)

@Creees
@Creees 4 дня назад
Man that sucks. I have done Lunn Visa 10 times. The last time was the best because you got to stay in Laos for one hour which is what i always wanted to do. Drive all day, wake up so early or in fact dont sleep cant sleep and then we go there and go back without doing or seeing anything I also think they should add the limousine sleeper bus. My bird lives near the bus station in Da Nang and i walk past two or three stationary limousine sleeper busses. Sitting in a chair all day isnt comfortable and hard to sleep but the limousine sleeper bus is amazing. Its the annoying foreigners who dont want sleeper busses. It seems like you don't need to do the expedite service anymore
@Willtravelz
@Willtravelz 4 дня назад
@@Creees yeah as long as you apply for your visa and a good amount of time let's say at least 3 weeks if not more in advance everything will be smooth and fast. I've done two visa runs so far both have been pretty simple. If I stay after January I will probably do another bus run again. I have done the flight to Bangkok visa run before as well.
@Creees
@Creees 4 дня назад
@Willtravelz yer its depressing going to visa run and not even eating in the other country. Its so dull and when you think about it one hour is 10% of the day but its a great experience. To eat lunch, drink coffee and mingle with others makes it so much more fun. I dint know why other foreigners are in a rush to get back. The day is over and its a long tiring journey. All restaurants, massage parlous and supermarkets will all be open well after returning. There was a big golden budha at the border which i didnt get to see as others were terrified we would be abandoned by the company. So i thought next time i am going straight there to see it and atraight back. Only a 15 minute walk. On the group chat there was an English dude and Russians and he was talking about getting a car and doing it. That would be cool. Before you get to Khe Sanh there is such an amazing cafe overlooking the valleys. The most beautiful scenery ive seen in Vietnam. Also as Australians and Americans Khe Sanh is very famous so to have a look around would be sweet. Another alternative is going to Hue city. And taking a 2.5 hour trip to the border and doing it slower and seeing more. Or just to sleep in
@Willtravelz
@Willtravelz 4 дня назад
@@Creees so with the doing it yourself also adds a lot of risk. I've heard a lot of horror stories about people being bribed at the border which doesn't happen when you go through an agency. Or missing a bus or certain things not working on time. I highly recommend doing the bus only if you want to come back the same day. If you don't want to come back the same day then I highly recommend flying to Bangkok and spending a few days there until your new Eevee so gets approved.

Flying 50 minutes to Bangkok takes the same amount of time as a 12 hours bus ride? Bangkok has a lot of nice hotels and food, you wouldn't be wasting any time on a bus either..
@Willtravelz
@Willtravelz 12 дней назад
You have to get to the airport 2 hours early you also have to wait for your next flight and you have to get to the airport 2 hours early on the return flight back. This is all assuming you want to get it done in the same day. A lot of people don't want to spend multiple days out of Vietnam. This is the safest and easiest way to do the border run all in one day without having to rent a hotel or be out of the country for longer than one day.
@Re3iRtH
@Re3iRtH 12 дней назад
@@Willtravelz I get to the airport exactly 90 hour early, go into an airport lounge. And go into the plane 10 mins after boarding starts. Domestically and internationally. Lounge has coffee free food and a lot more comfy than a bus. Can't call it the same time spent. 12 hours in a bus while you PAY them doesn't sound pleasant. At least you can make a vacation out of the flight.
@Willtravelz
@Willtravelz 12 дней назад
@@Re3iRtH I Think You're missing two important factors. If you take the flight you have to allow or at least supposed to allow 2 hours before each flight. Bless each flight is an hour and a half long each way. That means one way you're spending three and a half to 4 hours total for each way at the airport and on the plane. Plus you would have to hope that the return flight is very near your landing flight the same day. So assuming you left at 9:30 in the morning on the plane you wouldn't get back till about 6 or 7:00 p.m. on the returning flight that same day. I think you're not taking into account that this route is for people that want to do this all in one day not have to spend a week in Bangkok paying for new hotels when they already have an apartment back in Vietnam. The flight is the better option if you're planning on staying 5 days or more in another country. But if you're looking to come back the same day the bus is by far the better option. Also I think you're not understanding the total time on the bus. You're on the bus for 4 hours each way. And every 2 hours you're getting a break. so it's not like you're sitting on a bus for 12 hours nonstop. You're on the bus for 2 hours get a break walk outside go to the bathroom. Then you're back on the bus for another 2 hours until you reach the border. Then you're at the border and you can have lunch or wait around and lounge at the border until your Visa is ready. And then you're back on the bus for another 2 hours and have another break, and then you're back on the bus for two more hours and you're finally back in Vietnam all in the same day.

@cookietulis6252
@cookietulis6252 12 дней назад
The "border visa" is just the same type of regular e-visa which you initially enter Vietnam with, but the agency has connections with immigration and can get it fast tracked (within minutes/hours) after you stamp out of the country instead of the usual 4 or 5 days that it will take if you do it on your own.
@cookietulis6252
@cookietulis6252 12 дней назад
And yes, both are 90 days.
@Willtravelz
@Willtravelz 12 дней назад
Yes so once your original 90 day Visa is up you have to leave the country. This is a workaround you would apply for a new Visa go out of the country for an hour or two into Laos and then turn back around and get a brand new 90 day Visa.
@Willtravelz
@Willtravelz 12 дней назад
Yes correct.
@matuspekar5159
@matuspekar5159 2 дня назад
Sorry, but this way seems horrible. Why not taking 50 euro flight to Bangkok which takes 1 hour 45 minutes, spend 1-3 nights in cheap accomodation while you wait for your online visa to be processed, enjoy the food and go back?
@Willtravelz
@Willtravelz 2 дня назад
Two reasons. The first problem is you end up spending the same amount of time doing the Bangkok route For example. You have to get to the airportt 2 hours ahead of time. And then you'll have about a 3 or a 4-hour wait before the return flight. So all in all you'll end up taking 10 hours minimum to do the same thing on a plane. Also the issue is you cannot get a new visa unless you're out of the country. That means you have to land at the airport in Bangkok contact a Visa agency and hope that within 4 hours they will get you a same-day Visa. If not you will have to stay in Bangkok and apply for a new e Visa which takes 3 to 5 days to get. So that's the reason why people don't do the flights. You either have to rush and contact a visa agency in hopes that as soon as you land they can get you a 4-hour rush visa before your return flight back the same day, or you have to stay in Bangkok for 3 to 5 days until you get your new e Visa. The bus Visa run allows you to leave the country get your visa the same day while you're in Laos and then return that same day. And it takes almost exactly the same amount of time if you factor in getting to the airport early getting to the airplane before you need to get on your return flight and the waiting time from the time that your first plane lands to your second plane lands. With the risk that they won't be able to get you your rush visa the same day then you lose your return ticket all together. So that's the big reason why.
@matuspekar5159
@matuspekar5159 День назад
@@Willtravelz The whole process is much easier when you enjoy spending some time in another country. To me dying 12+ hours in a bus is still a no-no compared to enjoy Bangkok/Phnom Phen/Bali for a week, have a good food and come back. But it's a question of taste I guess. If you are feeling too adventurous, you don't need to go anywhere. There are agencies who will take your passport and will bring it to you in 5 days with a stamp on it. Even though it's quite risky one would say, I tried it nevertheless and it worked everytime, 50 dollars.
@Willtravelz
@Willtravelz День назад
@@matuspekar5159 so now you're talking about a whole different. I recommend if you want to come back the same day do the bus route. If you don't mind staying in Thailand or another country for days then yes I definitely recommend the flight route. But my channel is usually geared towards travel budget people who don't have the money or don't want to spend the extra money in Thailand. Thailand you get a much shorter visa and Thailand especially Bangkok is much more expensive than Vietnam. So yes if people want to come back the same day the bus is the best option. But if people have extra money or don't care about spending more than I recommend doing the flight to Bangkok.
