First of all, what a blessed group of musicians!!! 🔥🔥🔥Second, I agree with you in that there is TOO MUCH going on in today's shouts. I'm COGIC myself, since birth, and a pastor's kid that grew up playing drums in the service. I can remember a time where your playing ALWAYS had to be reverent and yielded to the flow of the spirit at any point in the service. Otherwise, they would very matter-of-factly ask you to get it straight or leave the instrument, and they weren't going to say it a thousand times. Us young folks that wanted to play and KEEP playing learned very quickly--lock in that groove and keep it steady, don't be showy and distracting with your fills or licks, keep the volume sensible, and if it was a shout, make sure EVERYBODY could participate. Those old mothers and deacons at least wanted to be able to pat their feet, bob their heads, or do a little rock! That's the way we judged how we were doing, looking to see if both young and old were feeling it. Those boundaries produced some of the greatest musicians. You had to respect all of that and STILL find a way to show the creativity God gave you. That was where the fun was, and it made you better and that much more creative. People think that the relaxing of boundaries is the only way to unlock creativity. However, still finding a way to be interesting and original within bounds truly stretches the mind and forces one to refine his or her technique. I also agree that change is good, but never to the detriment of the anointing and the flow. I know this response is long, but I take this topic seriously, as I'm sure many people reading this do too.🙏🏾

I been thinking about this lately I was born and raised in the 90s I remember sound holiness shouting music between the 90s and 2000s people went for broke with this kinda setting but when the 2010s it everything changed folks started dancing much more lighter the movement became boring but this video is so proving that the church is coming back to full revival raw and uncut fr fr

You're right but when some organist gets 800 a week while the guitar player gets 125 a week. Then the organist will not allow the guitar player to musically be his equal or outshine him on a weekly basis because that would get them both equal salaries or the guitarist making a few dollars more. Money is the root of all evil.

@Classic Thinker. Me and my Drummer and mostly all drummers that play with me in Organ kno I will lock that “1” for a good while til God’s Spirit will move around the Place til we can “freely” change around but mainly keeping The Holy Spirit as the Focal Point of the Service. It’s all about Him. I still can’t get over half the movements Musicians are doing now. Not saying it’s not needed and not saying they are not a Anointed but we must must must keep God’s Spirit and His Move the Focus. Good point you made tho.
