I just want to thank you for making these videos. I'm a first year home owner and watching these videos has really helped me improve the condition of my lawn. My neighbor pays a landscaping crew to take care of his yard and it still doesn't look as good as mine. I'm amazed with the results I've been getting just doing the basics, watering, feeding, and mowing.

I live in the Pacific Northwest South of Seattle. And all the information you just put out about. Pre-emergent pertains to my cool season lawn too. I missed my spring application of preemergent after my renovation what a mistake. It doesn't get very cold here until february and then we will get frost. So annual bluegrass has a hay day in the winter here. I did some scarifying and verticutting and watched the poa come up Since its root system is shallower. Then I oversee it and put some Tenacity down as my pre-emergent for 2 to 3 weeks. I'm hoping overseeding might choke out some of the annual bluegrass. I'll probably put down some spectracide and in the beginning of october. Good stuff man!!!! ❤⛳️😊

You could apply both at the same time since they need watered in, but it's a bit late to apply fertilizer on bermuda in the fall. That really should be done at the end of August/first of September. Check one of your local extension office's recommendation for your area on the timing for fall fert. In my area, it's too late. NC State would be a good place to start. Hope this helps. Picked up two bags today myself. Just so I understand correctly, are you applying this to wet grass per the instructions or watering it in as only a pre-ermergent? I have plenty of clover and spurge that needs killing as well as pre-emergent needs. Zoysia in the transition zone.
@BudgetLawns
@BudgetLawns 9 месяцев назад
Awesome. Good question. I apply it and immediately water in as a pre-emergent only. If you have some weeds that need zapped, might as well use it for both pre and post. I usually just spot spray with the Spectracide for lawns orange label on my clover. Spurge is about to die in the cold anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it. It's a summer heat lovin weed. The clover will keep goin for a bit. Hope this helps. Appreciate ya watching.

@BudgetLawns
@BudgetLawns 9 месяцев назад
The lawn you see in this video has never had a blanket spray of weed killer. Only pre-emergent and 1 spot spray. I'm a big believer in just getting a thick lawn from mowing and using a pre-em to eventually get rid of weeds over time. Does take a bit more patience and being ok with some weeds in the lawn, but they'll disappear in time. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

Doesn't have to do with grass type. Has to do with location and temperatures. I'm in north Arkansas. If you are south of me, your schedule would be bumped up earlier. How early would depend on how much further south you are and your typical temps during the year. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

I also have a 50 lb back of weed and feed. I want to plant bermuda. Hubby wants tall fescue. Can u tell me what i should do. Order of applications and when. Thank u. Love your channel.
