Yes but terribly impractical for actual dancing, not only does it fly around and impede your vision, but whips your partner in the face during turns. Most dancers in the real world wear their hair tied back.
I agree 100% with most viewers that this was a flop but should not have been! It still is so iconic with The Bee Gees soundtrack and gorgeous John Travolta strutting at the end after he wowed the audience with his incredible moves! Love love love the dancing and music of this video. Laura Jazz Dancing gets you to this incredible clip where she moves like smoke. Love her so much. Such a great actress and played bitchy, spoiled Laura so well. Cynthia Rhodes is also an incredible dancer and Frank Stallone's singing and songwriting are right on point! I give this movie five stars!
Such a great medley of songs where Vince DiCola got to take the lead and give us a great precursor of what he'd give us with the Transformers soundtrack 3 years later.
I know it was a commercial flop but but I liked it so that's all I care about out and I think the actors were fantastic with some great choreography involved and a lot of working to get it right and a credit to all of them

This movie mostly flopped, and was roundly criticized, but it’s not that bad, it has great dancing (if not club/disco like everyone expected) and all the music and songs are all good.

Frank Stallone released a self titled album in 1984 and the closest you'll get to hearing the music you are referring to happens at 2:05 on track 9 called 'I Do Believe In Love'. On hearing it, you will notice a distinct resemblance. I really do hope this soundtrack one day receives an expanded edition, which includes this particular montage, including the music that immediately proceeds it (You know, the bit when Tony asks if he has any messages - it's an inside joke). However, Frank Stallone released a self titled album in 1984 and a snippet from the last song, before the characters applause, as you mention, does appear to be the closest you'll get to hearing the last song you are referring.
