My experience of staying at this amazing monastery. Challenging conditions but what an experience- meditating with 500 monks, meeting the enlightened head monk and as they say experiencing Buddha’s original teachings!
I really want to do this journey. I went to Myanmar in 2016. What a beautiful country with such a rich and wonderful culture. Vipassana is a wonderful practice. I plan to do another, in a different country. ❤
Great stuff, and you're right - maximum benefit is probably more likely developed through sustained practice at one place. And for sure, Pa Auk is as legit as they come! I was there some years back - best experience ever.
@@abhishekrajguru2052 Interesting. Yeah, I find their techniques useful as secondary methods/things to use when taking time out from the more fine grain/hardcore work.
Great, thanks for your dedication , I’m actually mesmerized by seeing your revelation of this kind of Buddhist way form a Hindustan guy.. When you go again there..I will be stayed there next years for meditation !!!

Is this Pyin Oo Lwin branch? I've been on a waiting list for over 8 months. I did delay my arrival time by 2 months. Although I haven't heard back from them as far as approval. I'm hoping it does..
Hey Tony, yes.. I went to the original Forest Meditation Center in Mawlamyine first as I got in there straightaway.. It is a very good and well organised Center, perhaps better organised than Pyin oo lwin. And then I applied from there as an insider 🙂 I’ve heard that some people just turn up to Pyin Oo Lwin branch and they let them stay there. By the way, Pa Auk was a good start for me but now I’ve been meditating in Myanmar for awhile and my favorite one by far is Shwe Oo Min- much more natural approach and focus on wisdom arising through natural Vipassana rather than a very long term practice of concentration only (e.g.1 year) before even starting Vipassana at pa Auk..
@@abhishekrajguru2052 Thanks for replying. Their website tells me that they might turn people away or you could be turned away if you just show up to Pyin oo. But I've met people at several monasteries that have just shown up and were able to stay. I've been to Pa Auk main center, spent 40 days there and got some pretty good concentration although I understand about the long-term instructions before practicing insight. I have heard about Shwe oo being a very good place for the vipassana. I'm also looking to possibly short-term ordination. If this place can do it that might work for me.
Sir, i want to know in how many days you had attend 1st 2nd jhana? Generally how many days it takes to achieve 1st 2nd jhana under guidance of pa auk's teacher?
