I stayed at a Japanese warehouse which is said to have been built in the Edo period.
Sawara prospered in the old days as a town of water and was even called Small-Edo(Tokyo) in the Edo period. Because of the building regulations in Sawara, old buildings have been renovated and preserved, and the area around the Onogawa River still retains its old landscape.
The hotel doesn't even have a TV and the bugs come in. It's hot in summer and cold in winter. You have to walk for a couple of minutes outside to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. And it's expensive.
But you can't have an experience like this other than here.

Long time no see, guys. I stayed at a unique hotel the other day and I've made a vlog about it. Hope you enjoy. By the way, I changed the channel name a bit. Oh don't worry, I'm not depressed, it's just a combination of the titles of my favorite books :) Crazy 2020 is almost over and I wish you all good health.

Sawara town is a wonderful discovery in Tokyo's discrete neighbouring Chiba prefecture ! 😀🏘🙌🏻 I've instantly fallen in love with this town just through your video. 🏘💙🎥 Sawara combines wonderfully well the beauty of both traditional and contemporary Japan in its streets as well as in the hotel where you stayed at. 😃🏠🏨 Moreover, Sawara has a nice and quiet calm ambience, it's close to a beautiful nature and its streets are an extraordinary open air museum. ☺ Concerning the hotel where you stayed for one night, I'm totally in charm with its authentic Japanese architecture as well as for the incredible experiences to enjoy inside. 🤗🏨💙 I feel instantly very well in this hotel through the global cosy ambience, the great charm and equipment of the hotel room as well as the rustic ambience of the restaurant that serves uniquely extraordinary meals. ☺ This is exactly the way I dream of experiencing Japan by living the authentic Japan in countryside. 😀🇯🇵🙌🏻
