I HAVE STAYED AT EXCALIBUR MANY OF TIMES AND I HAD NO PROBLEMS. THEY HAVE THE BEST FOOD COURT FOR ME. THANKS FOR SHARING, KEEP UP THE INCREDIBLE JOB. NEW YORK NEW YORK IS MY FAVORITE HOTEL SO I ALWAYS WANT TO SEE A VIDEO ON IT. 😁
Such a good review of The Excalibur, and all it has to offer. I've heard some negative things about this place, but your review shows some pretty positive points. Thanks Jay.
The good thing about staying at Excalibur is that the rooms are cheap. Good for those people who only want a place to sleep and want to save a few dollars. It’s a fun casino and the Excalibur Buffet is good value for the moderate price.
The people who invented "status" were geniuses. I also went to Vegas in December to get to Gold. Now it'll be a quest in 2023 to get the money I gambled back through removed resort fees and free room upgrades.
I did same thing in December... needed to maintain Gold status for my 4 trips in 2023. Just removing the resort fees, the resort credit and the slot play makes up for what I spent
It’s been years since I stayed at the Excalibur. I still remember the bed being lumpy with the springs sticking me in the back 🤣. Thumbs up on always acknowledging the Filipinos you meet in your vids Jay👍
I’ve stayed at Excalibur many many times . They always let me check out at noon . It’s just a Excalibur unsaid policy. I also like they will usually let you check it as early at 11 am without paying extra .
Get the MGM credit card. No annual fee, you will maintain pearl status as long as your card is open. If you use it to pay for your on property purchases and pay for your room, you get 3x tier points extra! And they currently have an amazing sign up bonus where you get basically $100 worth of mgm credit if you spend $1,000 within 3 months.
Dope video. I'm a Pearl member myself and my points reset this month but I still kept my Pearl status so that was ok. I'm definitely going to make sure my next trip(s) I give them my card at all restaurants on MGM Properties to help get those points.
Thanks for the review. I've never stayed at Excalibur. I'm sure someone has already mentioned it, but if you get an MGM Rewards credit card (no annual fees) you are automatically given Pearl Status automatically. So there's no reason not to have one. At a minimum you get free parking just by having the card.
Man that meatloaf you got looked bomb, one of my favorite restaurants was Sir Galahads at the Excal, they had those big silver carts like Lawrys that served prime rib tableside, sadly it closed, don't think I've been back since, great video Jay, how about staying at Resorts world this year
Love that you bring your own Keurig! I always bring my Mini Nespresso and milk frother. End up drinking americanos and lattes all morning and espresso martinis soon after (of course bring vanilla vodka too).
To remain at Pearl status all the time, all you need to do is get an MGM credit card. You do not have to spend any specific amount on it like you have to do with Caesars. So just apply for one at the Players Club desk and never worry about paying to park at MGM properties again. $220 inclusive for New Years Eve is a good deal.
Thanks for saying this. My friend and I decided to go to Vegas for a concert and stay for a few days and I was getting concerned with some people’s reviews.
Thx Jay for the tip about using players card when dining. Did u notice any Pinball machines in arcade? Or have you been and what you think about the Pinball las vegas hall of fame? I think that's what it's called. Thx in advance
This is one of the hotels in Vegas that I've never stayed at and never will. In fact, I don't think I've been inside the place since 2009! Are you planning to do room review at Waldorf Astoria? I haven't stayed there since it was under Mandarin Oriental. What about The Aria's renovated corner suites? I noticed they've renovated those rooms, planning to stay there when I'm back in Vegas in the spring.
Cool! I was in Vegas while you were filming! Stayed at the Mirage for NYE. 49ers winning was huge for my parlay. I enjoy all your Vegas content, brother. Keep it up!
Great Video! Ive always taken my instant coffee, electric kettle, my travel mug and I save the Yogurtland spoons for the coffee. Great money saver and better coffee.
Great review! The rooms are tired but clean and fine. The room prices are the best in Vegas for a major property with a casino on the Strip. I am not a huge gambler, but I always use my MGM Rewards card when I gamble in MGM properties. MGM is great about giving out comps after each trip . I got comped four room nights at the Excalibur . I am staying five nights over the Labor Day weekend and it’s only costing me $250 including all taxes and resort fees! You couldn’t stay at a Motel 6 for that! By the way, the Bee Gees show there is quite good and it’s not too expensive.
Hey, you look great in your winter beanie😻👍. The Excalibur has the best food court and several Elvis slot machines.😻👍. Always informative videos. Hello to mom & Dadcation. The weather is beautiful in Vegas right now.
Always bring a refillable water bottle when traveling. I’m proud of you, for bringing your coffee maker. My boss owned a gift shop at Bush airport in Houston. He would make a million $ a year, on water & coke sales. He used to call people suckers for buying 5$ waters. 🙉
Your Excalibur insider scoop was like finding a secret treasure map! Any hidden gems you discovered, like secret shortcuts, unexpected shows, or hidden-away restaurants? And would you recommend venturing beyond the obvious tourist spots for curious explorers like me?
For $50 - MGM properties will do 3pm check outs - plus if you times that by 4 (or 8 - because they sometimes increase the rewards points) - that could have been added to the points you needed to maintain your pearl status as well.
Excalibur isn’t bad, the royal rooms are outdated and there is a strong vape smell throughout the hotel but you get used to it. Other than that the vibes and the restaurant are good enough. 6.5/10
I do have a question. I am looking at Park MGM. Can I use the pool at the MGM Grand when I visit? Also when do the pools open? We are coming in May 2023. Thank you
Pool season starts in March. Check the website or call the hotel you are staying at to make sure they are open but if you are going in May they will be open for sure unless something is going on
Days after this video, Housekeepers at this Hotel did a walk out. There voices where not heard and they dropped there job and walked out. #standwithhousekeepers 67 housekeepers walk out. Please show video of the walk out
Always liked the King Authur story and stayed most of the time at Excalibur with the family when we visit Vegas. It is close by to MGM and other hotels and is not as expensive. The Buffet is prob the best buffet around the area for its price. Bummer that everything went up. Remembered back in 2009 when visit there the 1 time buffet was like $9.99 and the full 24 hours buffet was around $20 lol.
What’s the latest you can check in? Like I am booking and I know some hotels idk bout Vegas. First time going. If they have a check in. Cut off time? My flight lands at about 10pm.
So, it's just a casino and mall in a building the shape of a castle? No knights, no orcs or jesters or wizards or dragons or anything like the sort? Or any fantasy based rides?
Love the video Jay but I got to say Excalibar is only above Circus Circus and in my view is one of the worst Vegas properties. Very cheap, tacky and I can't get the thought of sticky carpets from spilt beers out of my head.
