I spend way more than 7 & 1/2 hours sleeping , it’s my favorite thing to do really , I even go to bed around 8:30 at night at least in the winter time & I,m up more in the summer months . I have blackout curtains in my bed room , a big ol bed that’s nice & firm , soft pillows, nice warm comforters, a heat & cooling water sheet system on my bed in my room that detects & by a app when your to hot or to cold & fine tunes your bed temperature for you wile you sleep , I make sure I have no LED lights that are on bright in my room so I,ll cover them up , I have a air purifier & a air freshener unit that sprays lavender & vanilla every 36 minutes , I have a small fan that I use on low just to move air around the room wile I sleep , I,m all set , I wish I had a job that pays me to sleep then I’d be all set .

in our early 20s my best friend worked for a "sketchy" freelance large load/heavy equipment delivery company and i would help him every once and a while. we got a call one day to deliver a load from Tennessee to Miami. the drop off time was way too soon for the distance that we were going to have to cover so the guy that ran the delivery company told us that we were not allowed to rest and just drive with no food or sleep stops, only fuel. this particular job fell under the mandatory 10 hour rest law and at least half hour stop after 8 hours driving, but we were told we couldnt rest and if we did we would not get paid. (i said it was sketchy lol) anyway, we were awake driving and hauling a trailer for nearly 3 days. we drove through two full days, one full night and most of another night. we didnt get home until 3am on thanksgiving morning. we lost track of time and everything kinda started to warp together so im honestly not sure about much. we were sleep, food, and water deprived and i remember after we finally dropped off the load and drove back to the Alabama/Florida state line from Miami to finally rest me and him got into a huge almost fist fight and i remember telling him to pull over because i was going to just walk back to Birmingham Al where we lived at the time (around a 12 hour DRIVE) lol we drove about 20 minutes absolutely furious with each other, but we stopped at a gas station and both broke out in tears apologizing and hugging each other. there was some people there that looked at us like we were crazy. i passed out the second i sat down in my house and did not wake up until right before dark the day after thanksgiving.
