We don’t live our life based on fear and we don’t want our kids to live their lives with an overbearing sense of fear. That said we have to make our kids aware that there are a minority of people out there that don’t necessarily have their best interests at heart.
It’s a difficult subject to navigate because in many ways it undoes the work we do in terms of love and trust and the inherent goodness in human beings. That said bad people and bad things are a reality.
Anyhow, I’m not sure we got it all right but here is our effort at explaining to the kids that not everyone is good 😢
