Hi Brian, long time fan. Been watching your videos since 2015 as a college student to learn how to DE shave. Purchased the Merkur 34C from your suggestion and because of how sensitive my skin was. Thinking of getting an upgrade after 6 years; I'm noticing the 34C isn't as efficient as I want it to be in order to get BB smooth shave. Been eyeing the Muhle Rocca, but I wanted your expertise for someone who still has sensitive skin but rather thick, asian stubble. Thanks.

Hi Kimmy, thanks for getting in touch. I have used the Rocca in the past it's a good razor but frankly, not as good as the similarly priced Outlaw. The Outlaw will deliver a close shave in two passes, this is good. Fewer passes lead to less post-shave irritation. Hi Brian, they are all four excellent razors, I have them all but Outlaw is the top, you sent it to me with standard plate and then I bought the "mild" super razor plate 💪👏👏👏👋🇮🇹 P.s.: And the next will be CLAYMORE!

Hiya Brian, just recently bought a Muhle r106 as my first DE safety razor from yourselves. Used it with the personnna blades on about 4-5 days worth of beard and found that it was struggling to shave it. Is this simply because there was too much growth or that the razor and blade combination is too mild? Thanks

Hi Sam, with the right technique even a mild shaving razor and blade will shave off tough, dense beards. Having said that a progression to The Braveheart or Outlaw Mild razor may help. Brian

Hi Sam, thanks for watching! If you follow all the steps in our tutorial video you should get on absolutely fine, you may want to experiment with some sharper blades and in turn a more aggressive razor. Hope this helps.

separate because the other is long enough and this question is shorter and direct: what does Alloy indicate compared to Stanless Steel? I'm confused as all steels are also alloys and stainless even more so. Oerked me after Henson's "aerospace grade aluminum" verbiage, as that covers a decent range of types and i believe all of the types you'd expect a razor to be made of. I intend to use any razor of any material composition primarily as a grooming product while at ground level, and nearly never as a flight vehicle.

The less expensive razors such as the Muhle R89 need chrome plating which will in time wear and possibly tarnish. With no plating, stainless steel is more durable, our Outlaw and Claymore razors are machine tooled to very close tolerances, cast alloy razors less so. Thanks for watching. Brian
