Steak Au Poivre or Pepper Steak is another timeless classic that is one of the most simple dishes to make, yet totally delicious. Steak, brandy, cream mustard! What's not to like?
There's not really very much to this as you cook the steak how you like it; I like mine medium rare, the ingredients don't need to be exact for any part of it. Use as much or as little as you like. Sometimes I add some Worcestershire sauce in, but didn't this time.
I used a sirloin steak / New York strip this time, but it goes just as well with a filet / tenderloin
Also, I used green peppercorns in brine. If you don't have these, don't worry. You will have enough peppercorns on the steak.
