Last year I was winter camping here in British Columbia, Canada and it dropped to -10 C but I had a nice campfire. I drank too much beer and waskey and ended up crawling into the tent and passing out on top of my sleeping bag. I woke up 3 hours later freezing cold!

I’ve used RU-vid for about 10 years minimum and this is the very first channel I’ve ever subscribed to. Love the show Mandingo 👌 Canny little idea for a stealth camp for you too. Noticed at Boldon Asda there’s a load of bushes going round the outside of the car park. 24 hour supermarket so it’s risky but if anyone can do it it’s you.

You need to get yourself a couple of 60/40 butane/propane mix gas cannisters (like Coleman Xtreme) for the really cold camps. They can cope with lower temperatures than the normal 70/30. (probably more expensive but might be worth it on the odd occasion where it might get really cold).

Chris You can get insulated jackets/covers for the gas canister to keep it warm. Some even run off a power bank and warm the jacket around the gas canister. 👍👍

Blot , you need a twig burning stove , there light weight & low key . There fire burning & don’t put off to much light as long as you have a pot or pan on them & in the cold they are nice for some heat . Ya need to get one . I hate seeing you out there in the cold brother , ya need something to warm them old bones my friend

You need propane gas for cold weather mate butane gas freezers in the cold stay safe mate

Hi Chris. During this cold weather, get some tin foil and wrap it three quarters around your cooking kit, from the ground to the top of about your cooking container. It works every time. You need to heat your gas can to raise the temperatute and the relative pressure. The same goes for your lithium batteries. I put my phone under my boodingoo's, when it's below 5 Celsius. Me and the Other, Love "Blot Outdoors" The Best.
