We take on the wild camping challenge of setting up camp on a private lake in the Northwest UK. We slip into the area late on, about 8pm and leave before the Lake starts to get busy, we are mindful of avoiding detection by the Lake's Outward Bound team.
We find unexpected discoveries, like stumbling upon an abandoned axe along a game trail, reminding us that poachers frequent these shores. Braving the winter chill, we find ourselves right at the waters edge, where we set up camp, immersing ourselves in the tranquil beauty of the landscape.
In a true test of practicality, we compare the tried-and-tested French Army F2 tent with the newcomer, Naturehike Cloud Peak 2, as Leon experiences the latter for the first time.
