Cool flashlight. I have a green only one for hunting wild hogs. I would really like one like that that has a selection on it. When I was in the Army in the 70s they had little filter discs that snapped over the beam. We have come a long way huh.
Its a lot of money but obviously a quality product. The simple colour change and dimmer function are very good. The other thing that I like is that when its not zoomed, the beam is very wide. Great if you are looking for something in a large area. Thanks for the mention Dan. Regards Allan (Jim-Bob Outdoors) 😎👍
Thanks, English Woodsman, this torch looks great for stealth camping. Could you use it in your stealth videos on the red setting, or is that a problem for the camera? I looked up the Brinyte T28 Artemis and the price was US$ 149 plus shipping (£108 plus ship). I wonder if there is any UK distribution? Probably a top quality unit, anyway.
@@englishwoodsman When I was in the Army everyone had a stealth torch with the option of white light. There was also the option to add a red or green filter. It's difficult to find a torch that offers these options especially for stealth camping 👍
Green is the most stealth ! Red is best for your eyes ! If you don't want animals to get spooked (including humans ), green ! Its not so much what you can see it's about if you are being seen ! If you don't want to be seen use green and as low and wide as pos .
That’s a great torch. I get a lot of adverts from olight. Nice torch’s olight but so overpriced & you can’t even use it as a spotlight. This is amazing with the colour change. You are right, why do you need a torch that will blind an astronaut 😂
Great review Dan, and a great torch. Like others I used to have one of those 'army' ones back in the day. A tad pricey, will have to earn some serious brownie points before the Mrs lets us buy one of those, either that or just dont tell her! :-) atb Dave.
I am surprised so many people think this is a good torch, it is very low end, generally try to avoid anything that shows the led as a square on full throw, and has the rings when on flood, pay little bit more get something four times smaller and a lot better.
@@englishwoodsman No it is not it is a really bad torch and they don't know and neither do you but that is ok now you do, try go for a brand I tend to go for Olight as the price is a lot cheaper then most decent brands and the quality is on par, they always do flash sales that's the best time to buy. Amazon sometimes do the led lenser p7.2 on sale, right now its bit dear at £41.17, it can drop quite a lot I paid £24, but it is worth the £40 all day long and you get a decent case with it, it is a dated torch now but still holds its own. This is not attack on you mate, I am a bushcrafter and also do have a large variety of torches, try to avoid the things mentioned above, because you really won't see much at distance with that torches throw, and the rings on flood as said another bad thing to look for, remember if the led shows as a square on reflection avoid.
Nice one Dan. Quick question, is the torch rechargeable or can you swap out the batteries and use it on multiple days out? Cheers pal, keep safe bud.....
Hi mate that's a great question, The bottom fell off because of my own stupidity,, I will be honest this torch with multi colour yes but I would not buy the others
