I'm pretty sure you can also incapacitate enemies. Not sure if there's a silent amp strong enough for Spy Sortie 3, but it's worth a shot (pun intended).
Great list! I think Ivara could have gotten one pip in silence due to her exalted bow being silent. Love seeing Wisp here - I think a lot of people forget her awesome passive.
Please, create some sort of roster for the game to put odd and hilarious things that happen in it. Having Ivara on your rooster would definitely qualify! Also, please, be good enough to show us rooster Ivara. Tis meme worthy n I bet some wanna see! 🐔👍
The joke with Ivara is that it took me so many runs to farm her components that by the time i got her completed I knew all vault tile sets and how to solve them making her somewhat obsolete
I love the stealth frames as a whole, but you definitely overlooked half of Loki’s abilities. Definitely S tier across the board on all 4 of your requirements.
Ivara became one of my favourite frames to use during my run through the star-chart as spy missions were a great challenge that reward you for memorizing the layout and timing your actions accordingly while I do agree that its more efficient to cloud walker through the barriers but for those who took the time to do them were rewarded with a versatile frame for their efforts.
Great video mate😁. Just want to mention one more thing about Loki's kit he can somewhat bypass spy traps/lasers with decoy and switch teleport. (It's no where near ivara's ability to just walk through anyof them though)
I think Most Warframe players forget teleportation Can be used for stealth,Like Ashes for instance,If you cant get through Lasers you can use his teleport to teleport THROUGH the lasers,Or switch your position on the other side of the laser traps with an enemy if there is one.
I have found a new voice that i can sleep listening too.. Plus.. i like listening to informational videos. Combined with it being a game im invested hard into.. You got yourself a new subscriber
Whilst Ivara is definitely the best stealth frame, if you're looking for a frame to speedrun spy vaults with, Wukong is significantly better just because of the speed of Cloudwalker
preparation, infiltrator augment, primed flow, and a moderate amount of duration and efficiency makes sortie spy missions a breeze with Ivara, you can even put on arcane energize and you'll almost never run out of energy with her as long as you're able to steal energy orbs from enemies. Though I'd recommend just using Limbo or Wukong for lower level spy missions because of how agile they are and the bonus of being able to bypass vault lasers.
Not much of a stealth frame, but Nova on a teleport build can make very quick work of some easier vaults too, and bypasses gates. Wukong and Wisp's speed make this a bit unnecessary, but it's still an option if you feel like it! I also remember doing an earth spy a few times by just having Maim active, but that seemed to trigger alarms when I tried it later, not sure.
Honestly, to me, Ivara's real power is shown when you're in the open world doing things like fishing or hunting. Being able to stay invisible for extended periods of time helps prevent annoying things like enemies constantly trying to fight you while you're just wanting to stand around and fish. She'd be completely perfect for it, honestly, if the mining laser didn't break her invisibility.
I think you forgot the synergy between blade storm and arcane trickery. I think it is worth a mention even though it does not help with "stealth missions" or that it is utilizing an arcane.
Even with Limbo, Loki and Ivara. Wukong is S++ tier regarding Spy Missions. You just fly on the speed of light and finnish the mission. While ivara is still rolling to get in the first vault...
I'd say Zephyr's innate lower gravity and ability to hover or air-dash in any direction with her first ability can be helpful to cheese certain vaults.
Octavia also has the mallet and the resonator or both that should contribute to Enemy incapacitation. Mallet forces all enemies to fire on it even at far range, but since enemies can also be stormtroopers, only way to be damaged is when you're in the line of fire. Resonator silences their attacks if within range instantly
Loki should also be S tier in m opinion. His switch teleport and his decoy can be used to bypass laser barriers, while his radial disarm can incapacitate enemies. Sort of.
There is an irony to my acquisition of Ivara: I used the prime version to do the spy missions to farm the regular components. With preparation mod, and great ability efficiency, I can scoot through any spy missions without having to interact with any enemies.
You only considered Spy vaults for viability. What about the other missions? Stealth may not be useful during Defense or Excavation but Capture, Rescue, Extermination and even Survival can all be done stealthily
There are a few spy vaults that I do with clone teleport. There's a passage in a uranus spy vault that is filled with lasers, but loki teleports right behind it. A fast way to crack that vault.
Hydroid should be on C or B tier, his puddle form is invisible to enemies and you can suck them in from a distance without alarming anyone. The only problem is that you can only move slowly.
ivara is only immune to vault traps if she has the max influence sindicate mod. Limbo on the other hands can walk through and entire vault and never trip anyting or take any damage.
With Ash Prime being available due to prime resurgence as of right now I’ve been opening relics and getting everything but his parts. Even with them fully refined and everything. I want to upgrade to Ash Prime since I have base Ash because of circuit rewards.
Reading about Ivara on the wiki and seeing her demonstrated here, I don't understand how she's 'good' let alone S tier. What am I missing? With all the stuff she's got for stealth/sneaking I could understand B tier but since she has the absolute worst version of everything I can't see going higher. Her stealth burns energy much faster then Loki or even Ash, and at least they can move normally while invisible. Wisp has a better invisibility as a permanent passive! I'll give Ivara credit that she can stand/walk in a laser while invisible for longer then Wukong can zoom past all the lasers while invisible, but I don't really see why people like crawling around in the lasers when you can just zoom past them or teleport past them with other frames on the list, and then go operator if your frame isn't invisible, since at least void energy regenerates and voidmode doesn't force you to walk. What good is an arrow that cloaks your ally if it's only in one tiny spot and still only lasts 12s? Well actually that sounds extremely useful for shooting at downed allys before rescuing them, but that's still only for making you invisible. Lastly she can shoot enemies to sleep them for a moment, but multiple other frames can aoe sleep/stun everything around. If you have to shoot every enemy to avoid them telling on you, then Shoot em with a bow or anything silenced. Save 25 energy and no need to recast. To reclarify, I don't have Ivara and thus haven't tried Ivara. I'm just not understanding what she's good for that would cause her to be so popular. Seems to me she's a simple damage frame with a bunch of useless borked stealth abilities in place of her abilities and a pet mod (radar) as a passive. What am I missing?
The best stealth frames are Ember, Equinox, Saryn and other nuke frames. If everyone is dead, there's no-one around to say you weren't stealthy. Full credit for this joke goes to Josh Strife Hayes.
i mean tecnically ash has 1 point extra in silence with his ultimate , since it can kill most enemys with out alerting the rest : they need to see a clone striking his friends but yeah .... hey sadly not every warframe can be an op machine.... im happy that at least is still in the game for the most part
ivara has 1 draw back that is that she's energy hungry cause evry step consumes a lil bit of energy and yu can't run whilst cloaked or yu loos the cloak (yu can roll though) but she's good though and also if yu use an alarming un silenced weapon well she drops her stealth whilst shooting thn recastin cloak again :)
Kinda late to the party but there is another option for stealth, if there is no one to notice no one will notice :3 Memes aside i did expect ivara to be on the top
I never use atlas as a stealth frame, he is best used as a strike and control frame, but realistically, those who play him right, like myself, its basically a multi-role frame that is capable of doing just about anything. I main him as my frame.
So uh 2 years late, but ash definetly deserves a higher spot, his teleport can go through walls, allowing him to out right skip 70% of spy vaults. Often theres an enemy in the room that you can teleport to, or just a crate or something
Yep especially him now being acquired by doing corpus railjack missions either being defense or survival with a chance on getting his parts on C Tier rotations
I dont' like Ivara. Keeping her invisibility up prevents the zenurik energy refresh because the ability is constantly on. With Loki or Ash, I can cast the ability and that's it, the enrgy can gather up during the time I'm invis. With Ivara, I just run out of energy after a while, while on ash or loki, I can just stay invis through the whole mission.
if you are running out of energy with Ivara you aren't acting fast enough, with max effeciency and some duration you cut the drain down to about 1 energy per second, with a max energy pool well over 600 for base and 700 for prime, you have over ten minutes from full energy, there is not spy mission where that is insufficient.
Can't Loki switch teleport through any relevant laser barriers? While I'm on the topic of teleportation, Ash, Nova, and Nezha have a form of it- and Nova and Nezha's teleport ranges are RIDICULOUS.
Join a clan (they're not permanent so you don't have to be overly choosy) that has done the majority of their research. This should give you access to Wukong, Banshee, Volt, Nezha and Zephyr, among loads of other stuff. That's a good starting point. That group will carry you through a lot and allow you to get the others at your own pace. They're especially great in that you don't need to repeat the same mission endlessly to get the parts.
In most games, yes. But not in this one. The clan researches are designed as community goals to merely unlock the ability to access the blueprints - blueprints you then need to pay to replicate, pay to build, and wait to receive. Not to mention that most clan research items require limited resources to construct, such as Forma or Detonite Injectors. You simply cannot ruin your progression by accessing a clan lab that's fully researched. Instead, joining a new clan or making your own will only slow you down and consume precious resources at a time you sorely need them otherwise. Don't worry, you're doing your bit towards progression. As for the clan itself, be involved, contribute to new researches (new rooms DE release etc) or simply to decorating the heck out of the Dojo.
I learn how to play Warframe better, with every Video TheKengineer puts out. Seriously, Warframe ought to make Ken a WF Partner. He's that good for the Game :) People; Look at Ken's other Warframe Videos. They are extremely welll done and helpful. please subscribe, like, and comment. Let's get TheKengineer boosted up. Disclaimer : I am not Married to, Dating, or Related to TheKengineer
She's good for stealth focus grinding. I don't believe it's the fastest method (Sanctuary Onslaught is probably that), but still good. That said, you may find more success with Equinox though as her Rest is faster to cast than Ivara's sleep arrow and easier to target with. Relying on invisibility for focus farming would only slow you down.
What?! Space Ninjas? What is this you speak of. Damn it! I thought I was a Primarch murdering those Corpus & Grineer Traitors and those filthy Xenos. I mean Infested... 😉
Bows aren't the stealthest in any margin do to a flaw in there pin gimmic. Enemy's can and will see enemy's pinned to walls and flying to get pinned to walls.
