This version has so much emotion in it it's insane.

Who else has a feeling that this song will play after the Capture the Flag scene when Percy is claimed by Poseidon? I really hope so. I think it’s the perfect song to play during that scene.

2:42 IMAGINE THIS: the music is slowly crescendo-ing (becoming louder) in the background and when it says “and it comes unstuck “ clarisse gets drenched and then when it says “lady running down to the riptide…” Percy gets claimed!!!! That would be BONE CHILLING.

I love how this version of the song has been used in all the promotional material for this show. It’s like the creators know full well how identifiable this song is and want those looking forward to watching the show to know that. I just really hope it’s in the show itself ounce it premieres.

The moment after capture of the flag in the books was very important, cause' it was by far the moment where Percy felt the most alone; his mother just "died", his father (after a lifetime of ignorance) just suddenly recognized him as his son, indirectly making the entire camp kneel to him and isolating him in Poseidon's cabin, where he was the only camper and lived isolated from everyone, as if he was contagious just by being Poseidon's son, Not only did he feel alone, but he felt like the entire camp blamed him for exist, as if his very existence was a mistake So i think this song is just PERFECT to be played at this scene, the tone of the song and the lyrics "running down to the riptide" represent well the journey of someone who has just discovered themselfs a child of Poseidon, It's like going down a river, alone, at night, with no one to accompany you, trying desperately to figure out how to control the river, not to have power over it, you just want the riptide to take you to a place where you're not alone…

This song makes me relive all my memories i made with the books. The long nights reading the books, excited for the next adventure of the halfgod. Waiting until the day comes to an end to read the books. Leaving school, the bad days and exhausting school days behind and just be in the room, on the bed with the book and travel through the series, through the books, through the chapters with a rollercoaster of emotion and felt like camp halfblood was the second home. Imagined I was sitting at the camp fire with other half gods and listening to the scary, almost impossible but exciting stories of THE Percy Jackson.

This version of the song is just so full of emotion that I'm literally about to cry someone send help 😭😭 nah but the ad I got before this started playing was weird ass- two total strangers just started aggressively making out and then the guy just straight up dies on the spot and the girl looks offended by it-
