Just ignore the critics. They are likely the same people who go to work, leaving their dogs in a crate 8+ hours a day and don't walk them. Experts say leaving a dog in a crate for that many hours at a time isn't psychologically healthy for a dog. If they live in an apartment, the dog probably doesn't get off leash either. Blu is clearly happy, fell fed, and gets plenty of exercise. That's all that matters.

This is exactly why I don't have a dog right now . I work 12 hr shifts and am gone anywhere from 13 to 17 hours at a time . I can not in good conscience leave a dog pinned up like that, so I have a cat . He has his litter box , and automatic feeder and waterer . He is very spoiled and has everyone who comes to my house trained on where the treats are 😂

We had a Saint that was on his last leg. We added another Saint because we knew when he passed it would take a long time to heal before getting another dog. He was like a puppy again when we brought our second one home. He lived another 5 years!

@@kayenne221 I’ve seen way worse to worry about this, she lets her dogs roam, some dogs don’t even have a back yard and live in apartment, I know someone with a beautiful house and the same dog they have a humungous back yard yet they can’t clean their fucking dog, it has open sores all along it’s behind from scratching it on concrete, liters open sores leaving blood stains behind. Then going and rolling in caca dirt with open sores all on his back, sad and disgusting

Maria, I admire how attentive and loving you are of your pups ♥️ however, I think it would be safe to also recommend pet owners to consult with their primary veterinarian before completely switching their pets diet. Some pets have diseases that prescription kibble can benefit and slow down the progression, (kidney, urinary, diabetes, etc). Sometimes research by owners can lead them down the wrong road with their furbies, leading to lack of specific nutrients that they may need to keep their vital organs healthy. I say this all with love. - a certified veterinary technician ♥️

Hey Maria! Love your videos and was so excited when I realized this was an adoption video and you got a second Aussie!! I am also incredibly passionate about dog food and wanted to drop in and say thank you for putting out the message on how terrible kibble is! Definitely love that Sundays air dries their food, but the ingredients do not provide balanced nutrition for doggos. Their food doesn’t actually have any of the ingredients a dog needs besides the first three like you mentioned. Dogs don’t really need any kind of seed oil, sea salt, cranberries or any of the other veggies/fruits listed on regular basis. Dogs are omnivores who can digest certain veggies & fruits but they shouldn’t be the majority of their diet because they are not vegetarians. I would recommend switching to Orijen dog food for Miss Thang or putting her on the same raw diet as Blue! So far, I have noticed that Orijen is one of the only biologically appropriate dry foods that is closest to a healthy raw diet.

It’s so crazy, cool and amazing that you rescued an Australian Shepard from underdog! I will tell you why :-) about nine months ago I contacted under DOG about a female Australian shepherd on the REZ, Navajo nation, about a Australian shepherd I was trying to help. For some reason I just kept thinking about you. Unfortunately, underdog was unable to help And I had actually emailed you in regards to this Australian Shepherd as well. I don’t even know if I had the right email to be honest. But I ended up taking her and she is absolutely the sweetest girl. And surprisingly enough two months after I rescued her, she had one puppy. We are still trying to find the puppy a home. He’s now almost 6 months old. I named her Gracie and his name is Bart Bart lol. They both have been nothing but a blessing in my life so I guess all along she was meant for me :-) congratulations on your new beautiful little girl.❤️

I am surprised they let you adopt! In my state you have to own your own home, have an eight foot fenced in backyard, plus have references from a vet and a dog sitter, and if you have a husband you need him with you, oh and no kids under the age of seven... it's so strict they discourage people from adopting!

I'm so glad Blue has taken to your rescue and you chose a rescue dog!!!! It drives me nuts when people choose a breeder dog. You can find purebreds from rescue shelters. But why did the rescue not give the dog a bath after a year old. Even if it was turned over a day ago. Why no bath. Rescues are sometimes dog hoarders who loose control of their situation. A lot of times we rescue just to get them away from the shelter they are in. Rescuers beware.

Purebred doesn’t mean well bred. Ethically bred dogs rarely, if ever, end up in shelters. If they do, ethical breeders will always fight to get their dogs back. Adopt OR shop responsibly. Rescue dogs can be unpredictable in their health and temperament, it’s totally ok if someone chooses a breed that aligns with their lifestyle and does the work to find an ethical breeder proving, health testing, and preserving their breed.

Aww, I love her already! How amazing that Blue is so accepting and taking on the task of big brother, having her on the leash, I just can't... I don't know why, but the name Paw came up in my mind, maybe a bit too close to Poe? It has to be a one syllable name, obviously. Read 'Skye' in the comments, that would be really cool, too. Looking forward to seeing all your adventures with the two of them. And how amazing for her to have the example of Blue who isn't afraid of anything. She will be a badass little lady soon...

Oh my goodness! She's so adorable!! I'm so happy for you and Blue, what a great addition to the RR crew!! ❤ I grew up with Boarder Collies, and she looks SO much like a boarder collie. The DNA breed tests are cool - then you'll know. Thank you for rescuing 😘🐕

I lost my Aussie 2 years ago and still shed tears almost weekly over the loss. I’m hopeful I’ll get another one day but I’m still not ready. It’ll be a couple more years at least before I’ll have a home safe for a dog. Give Blue and the new girl all the love good dogs deserve. ❤

Great video, brought a tear to my eye, Res dogs turn out to be great dogs most of the time, I think it's because they had to fend for themselves for so long that when they get adopted by a caring person, they really appreciate them. You should name her Dolly. I am also glad to see you taking the Off Road driving course, this will help you out in the long run being an Overlander. Alberta Canada.

She’s sleeping a lot probably because she’s decompressing from shelter life. She is comfortable and trusting if she can sleep and relax with you near her. She’s beautiful and oh so lucky to be a traveling doggo!

We worked with Mini Aussie Rescue for years. We took all of the “under breed standard” “runts” 😂. She looks like a Mini with a tail! Definitely a high mix. Absolutely beautiful! We love that you adopted another buddy! My husband is so attached to Blu. 😍 This little Chica is going to win everyone’s hearts too! 💜🌸
