A very informative video and very slowly as to teach people who do not know about steam engines. the only two points I noticed that I would not be happy with is that the use of a hammer instead of a soft hide mallet would mean that the paint would be knocked off and on cast iron I do not like to see the use of a hammer as it could put a crack in a casting. The other small point I noticed was that when timing the engine I noticed that the crank case marker and the flywheel were not aligned so the timing may be one or two degrees incorrect. This is not to important on a steam engine but would be very iportant on a diesel or petrol engine. Otherwise a very good video.
Very impressed with your engine and your thorough explanations but not with the way you pick components off the gritty, dirty floor, lack of displayed greasing and the condition of the worker's dirty hands.
Bit concerned about the cross head piston drawing in dust and getting scored up. You could use that piston to send air to the firebox if you had valves.
