At last, we're running on real steam! I finally built a boiler, from the book "Simple Model Steam Engines" by Tubal Cain, a fine old English book. It's made from copper sheet and is insulated with Kaowool and oak strips. Has a small superheater underneath and is fired with hexy blocks. The rest of the plumbing parts I either made myself or bought from PM Research.
Sorry about the wobbly video; too busy fiddling with the engine to pay attention to where I was pointing! Anyway, it's very satisfying to see the little fella buzzing along.
