Hi Lgboyy. I believe Steam made it so you can use the Steam link anywhere without even needing a VPN. Of course, it works best the closer you are to the host computer.

Hi XeroxistHS. It's technically possible, but it's theoretically possible but most people aren't going to be able to do it. The reason it's easy on a cell phone is because you can have another app on your phone that can handle connecting to the VPN. If you're using a pure Steam Link box, there's no software on it (besides Steam's firmware) to connect to a VPN with. Your Steam link has to connect to wifi (or ethernet) directly. This shouldn't be an issue anymore though, as the Steam Link can now connect to your host computer by default, because Valve added the feature.
