This locomotive sits next to the train station in Lamar, Colorado.
It was biuilt by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia, PA in 1906. It was updated several times over its career which spanned form 1906 until 1953 when it was taken out of service. It traveled more that 900,000 miles in that time.
It ran on the Santa Fe Railroad between Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado hauling freight, passengers and more.
It was donated to the city of Lamar by the Santa Fe Railroad in 1956.
