On the 11th August 2019 I visited the Severn Valley Railway's 'Steam on the Road' event. Starting at Bridgnorth I shot the commercial vehicles in the station yard then caught the train for a spirited run to Kidderminster behind 4144. Leaving Bridgnorth 15 minutes late we were almost right time at Kidder. Here, on the station forecourt, were gathered a dozen or so beautiful steam traction engines, steam rollers and some lovely miniatures. At 2-00pm the cavalcade set off down the hill to do a short run on the ring road. In the shots of the cavalcade returning up the hill to the station the effects of Severn Trent Water's repairs can be seen pouring down the slope. This was a most enjoyable event.
