STEAM TRAINS & SKIN TIPS....... 

Great episode. The Bluebell looked blissful . Train journey's through the exquisite British countryside makes me nostalgic. As a child , every weekend my Mother and I would take the train from London where we lived to Southsea, where my Father was renovating a Georgian house on the seafron where we moved to. To this day one of my favourite things about returning home is taking the train and looking out on the gorgeous English countryside . Had to smile at you calling your muslim doctor a Christian .Love the flat hunting, from a Brit in Toronto

Hi from Annie, your outfits look great. That train trip would have been nice and relaxing with a meal, and nice company. The scenery was beautiful out in that countryside. The flat was too cramped and the noise would have bothered you a lot. Think something on the ground level would be best. With a nice sized garden to sit in and enjoy morning and afternoon teas etc Keep looking no rush. Take care.

What a lovely flat and handsome exterior!. I lived in a nice purpose built ground floor flat with a wall garden for 38 years ,which was also built with both concrete floors and ceilings. The first 37 years were good, with no disturbance ie noise or general disturbance from the previous 3 families who had lived there in that time. (i suppose they had a better upbring/consideration for others etc. But my final year of living there, with the new individual prior to moving to Spain, was absolutely horrendous noise, shouting and washing machines put on at 11/12pm every evening until post midnight. So I believe irrelevant of what the ceilings etc are made of, if you are so unfortunate to have antisocial person/s who have no social etiquette or respect for others. If possible try to live on the top floor of an apartment block or stick to what you already have a house. GooD luck in you new search. 😃

I live near the Severn Valley (steam) Railway and the journey to Bewdley is absolutely gorgeous. But the highlight of my 30-year Agatha Christie pilgrimage was seeing the original Orient Express pulling out of the railway station in Naples as we arrived - SO thrilling! Fab vlog. x

I have been on two murder mystery evenings on that railway and many other trips there with my husband over the years. I agree with you about the flat you saw, it was beautiful and the proportions were excellent but I think it would cost a lot to add the en suite and if it’s already at the top of your budget then I don’t think you should stretch your finances if it’s not absolutely perfect. I used to take my children on the Bluebells railway every Christmas on the Santa special. Such nostalgia taking a ride on a steam train 🚂 We’re so blessed with beautiful countryside in Sussex. Loved the vlog Suzy… I loved that flat but you have to think of the practicalities don’t you. Loved the train too… I live in the north east and we went on the Northern Belle train line a few years ago and that was fab. Wouldn’t mind doing it again.
