This recipe is by my elder sister Sarbani Basak. She is a versatile cook :)
Ingredients:
Cottage Cheese 500 gm
Mustard seeds 1.5 Tbsp
Poppy seeds 3 Tbsp
Coconut 1/2
Green Chillies 6-7
Mustard oil 3-4 Tbsp
Sugar 1 Tsp
Salt 1 Tbsp or as per taste
Procedure:
1. Make a fine paste with soaked mustard seeds, poppy seeds, coconut and some green chillies.
2. Mash the cottage cheese finely.
3. Make a sooth mixture with the cottage cheese, ready paste, some green chillies, mustard oil, salt and sugar.
4. Put that in a greased container and gently press it so that there is no gap in between.
5. Steam it in a kadai or pressure cooker for 20 minutes. Be careful that the water in the kadai or cooker should not cover more than half of the container with the mixture.
6. Serve with hot steamed rice
