I think the reason Chalmers is in multiple cars is because he keeps getting into car wrecks due to the bad directions, so he keeps having to replace them.

So Chalmers didn't show up and Skinner decided to eat the meal himself and still set the house on fire.

How nice of Skinner to set his own house on fire, so Chalmers can easily locate it by following the smoke.

Okay now that I've seen this I'm suddenly thinking "how did it take so long for somebody to come up with this one?" It all makes perfect sense. I mean it's how the scene starts in the first place so it would only make sense for somebody to parody it with Chalmers getting lost due to such terrible directions and never finding the place

At one point in the video Chalmers is driving at night. What we can gather from this (considering that it is simultaneously daytime in Skinner's location) is that Seymour's directions are so bad that he makes the Superintendent drive to somewhere in a completely different time zone.
