We had a great time at Lincoln castle (which holds the Magna Carta) and it hosts an annual Steampunk festival (weekend at the asylum). There were some amazing costumes. The style is victorian clothing with steam, electric and mechanical decorations. It is Europe's longest running Steampunk festival.
Music is by Alice's Night Circus which was greeted with much enthusiasm from the crowd. Next stop: World's Fair cosplay

I was so pleased that the singer and her father loved the video. They even added me ad a friend on facebook! I bought a signed CD from them. I'm looking forward to next year's event.

+Leigh Carver Did you see the one I made last year? This event is run every year in August. There's groups to join if that interests you on Facebook. I've been filming the event for two years but next year, I'm going in costume. There are lots of things to do for the Steampunks over the four day period.

Its just so amazing! You did an excellent job filming. I feel like this is just what I'm missing in my life...unfortunately I'm totally broke, don't drive, have 2 children to take care of, my mom is going in for surgery and needs me, and I have to visit the methadone clinic EVERY morning here where I live. So *sigh* while its just what I need its not what ill get. Do enjoy the hell out of it for me and ill be watching for the video. Thanks and enjoy ☺

I think that's what I like most about steampunk, well other than the aesthetic of it all, people seem so friendly.

Her band is Alice's Night Circus but her real name is Julia Scott. On Facebook, you can contact her father, Phillip Scott who does the business side of things.

I've had a talk to them and they said that you can put a request through their Etsy page (they are also on Facebook) and he said that as you're a friend of mine, they'll let you have Dark Water as it's a limited edition.
