Hi Netty yeah they have 2 steampunk festivals a year and 2 goth festivals amongst a lot of other stuff it really is great for Whitby’s economy! We have met so many amazing people through these festivals and also people who enjoy watching our channel! The sea was the most ferocious we have ever seen it in Whitby! Have a lovely weekend 👍❤️

Hi guys there are always people by the Abbey during the Goth Festival as it makes the ideal spot for pictures etc But yeah the February Steampunk is probably the quietest of the four! The weather has been pretty stormy 🌊 have a great weekend 👍

It’s a bit of a whirlwind ever showing our face in Whitby or Scarborough now, daily occurrence that we get spotted. Love it all though and people are so amazing. Definitely the best thing about RU-vid is meeting people. In touch with so many more lovely peeps through the Steampunk event now and we have some sensational things planned. Just love it. Hope we can do Hugo proud. He is on loan so he will want to return if we don’t look after him. Looks like you guys had an amazing week, excited to see it o;video ♥️

We too have been wanting to shoot storms but whenever there has been yellow warnings in Scarborough the sea has been the calmest! So was pleased it was the choppiest we had seen it in Whitby while at the SP festival 👍

it was lovely to see you again and you looked fantastic. we genuinely are looking to make more of an effort with our attire at steampunk events which we most certainly skew towards. I think you nailed it perfectly on your vid when you said “its all about meeting people”, it really is, im mesmerised and humbled by everyone I’ve met through RU-vid, it’s allowed me to meet and get to know the most wonderful people. have an awesome weekend! I’m not sure how I can beat the last two incredible Saturdays.. ..time to get my thinking cap on!

ah im sorry Mike. he was cheering on the kayakers at the very end. we have been in touch with Felix since this and he has extended an invitation to go riding with him and his gang which we were more than glad to accept! it’s true about RU-vid that the best thing is meeting people you would not otherwise. Hi Donna Alan Metalman named his own car The Beast so when we saw this we couldn’t resist in thinking it was Alan’s but belongs to the lovely guy in the video who’s name we didn’t get unfortunately but he is from the Wirral! Hi Leon yeah we remember the warning signs on the California coastline so can imagine they are huge! People always trying to get selfies or footages seen many folk almost get pulled in silly and dangerous 👍

thats a very good question Matt, we are going to presume he is also Scottish for now! Whitby is lovely but, even with all the crowds and festivals it manages to throw the entire year to maintain a booming economy there are a few empty units rearing their heads. I imagine they will be whipped up pretty fast though. We definitely can’t show our faces in Whitby, Scarborough or Bridlington without getting recognised which is really nice, especially when people shout things like “check it out” from across the street! I rock up anywhere else and nobody has a clue who we are. thankfully found a hidden setting on the GoPro which has Wind Reduction to “always on”, id previously had it set to “auto” and it gave some very unfavourable results. Desperate to catch a really good storm, I think that would have been the day for it. I was patient enough to record for about half an hour and got a minutes decent footage. to get the 8 minutes + you’d need for adverts you would probably have to film several hours of storm footage to just show the best bits. storms do seem to do the numbers, so keep your eyes peeled for the next one near you!

@@GENerationXplorers hahha when someone's behind you and calls you do you say 'let me spin you round' 😆 ohhh I'll have to check if my gopro has that function, could really do with it! Yeah I went out hiking and camping in a storm last year but it didn't come out that great on the camera sadly! Hopefully I'll get one along the Pacific Coast, they had some pretty mean ones last month! Most people would be thinking they're glad not to be caught up in a storm, us youtubers are sad when we miss them 😅

@no_soy_rubio certainly the Pacific Coast is THE very best place in the world to catch a storm! We love it there, we did the PCH1 for our honeymoon. Yeah I filmed on a windy day the other week with it on “auto” and the sound is horrendous. It wont be seeing the light of day. You got some great storm footage on your Isle of Wight trip..

@@GENerationXplorers hi Xers 😁 we were away on holiday for a month or so and now we are going to catch up with all our favourite RU-vidrs. Yep, I follow your Insta feeds but I am nowhere near as active on Insta these days. I think my inactivity has cost me about 2 or 300 followers from my peak. 😂 Finicky mob instagrammers. I've barely posted any RU-vid videos in a year and I still managed to put on about 15 subs. 😂 Unlike my darn daughter who has garnered about 2k sub on her channel in the last 3 or 4 weeks. 😂

🤣 We have always said that’s what is missing some of the old steam machinery! They have them at other events 👍 have a great weekend ❤️

Lovely sunshine when I left and with every mile North we travelled, the temperature got colder and colder, then the fog, then the storm! I did end up regretting the shorts at the end!
