After watching The Batman, I decided to make 3 versions of Batman's batarangs from steel and throw them. My designs are inspired mostly from the Batman 2022 film as well as the Batman: Arkham games.

Awesome! Maybe you could use rivets in your expandable design. You could model slots which would allow motion and the rivets could act like pins which would also hold every thing together. Hard to explain my idea over a comment section XD
