Would be good to encase metal refinery in a room with steam turbine on top and an oil liquid lock, prior to deconstruct, so you can reuse steam. Going to test the exploit with magma. Although when that's deconstructed, it will explode with rock gas, mad havoc. :D
Haha, nice idea with the magma! Love to see or try that. Adressing the encasing: Yeah i am definitely going to do that before spreading the steam everywhere. Or i encase it and make it the new bedroom of hele :D
Hot steam vents are great. Taming them, is with only a steam turbine on top of a box. You can just wall them in, with a steam turbine on top, and thus get easy free energy and water.
Hey SomeDude could you elaborate a little more on the design? I am asking cause with a single turbine and self cooling it seems like it could overheat, or not be fast enough to keep up with the geyser so it would overpressure.
@@Luma_plays Yes, you'll have to get some cooling some where for the turbine. You can cool lots of things, with one of the machines for it in or around your base. But for the rest, I had two of these hot steam vents in a map I played, and just had build insulated tiles around them, while keeping the inside in a vacuum, and put a turbine on top of it. There where no problems, for as far I can remember. Looking back, maybe less than 5 tiles would have been an option, because otherwise 500 degrees for 850 watt would be a waste. I mean, having only 3 tiles to sent steam to the turbine, would make the steam turn into water slower, so more energy would be produced. Haven't tested the latter though.
Oh, wow, apparently I was playing too carefully.. Your base grows really fast in just a few Cycles because you play carelessly 😅😂 Not in a bad way though 😉.. Gotta step up my game!
I was also very careful in the beginning but digging up alot helps with progressing. I was a bit too careless on Wades planet though. that one still makes problems thousands of cycles later.
15:45, есть более быстрый способ узнать, что за гейзер скрывается под породой. Выбираешь приоритет высший(красную тревогу) и назначаешь на гейзер. Всплывёт красное уведомление в строке событий, и достаточно навести курсор и там будет написано, какой гейзер там спрятан. И потом убираем красную тревогу, назначив любой приоритет гейзеру от 9 и ниже.

Yes. If deconstructed it will drop the water as water bottles in their respective temperature range. So if you have 2 bottles in there: 1 at 110°C with 10t and one at 80°C with 20t. You will get a bottle that instantly turnes into steam 10t at 110°C and you will get a second bottle with 20t (or whatever the maximum size for water bottles is i am not sure) of water at 80°C. It is also funny if you release the water from the water bottle. Did that in the first let's play.
As far as I know: only 1 Transporter on the first planet to the second planet and 1 transporter on the second planet back to the first one. For the rest you will need rockets.
Since you are building an oil well I wanted to ask, if you will use the liquid-duplicating dripping thing where you can make unlimited ammounts of one liquid.
Yes. I will transport the oil to the left vanilla side for regular stuff and maybe make my own oil well somewhere else. Or maybe an petroleum well if that works.
You mean to protect the dupes from it or how to use it? For protection I would just build another layer or two of tiles underneath the ceiling. Best would be lead from the oil biome or some water encased in tiles. Otherwise not sure yet.
@@Luma_plays yeah to protect, that sounds reasonable.. Because atmo suit/jet suit, or whatever they call them, doesn’t protect the dupes from rad right? Only lead suit?
So tell me about that battery thing (I think was Brothgar or another former ONI player, (He was smoking while recording)) 5 years ago some testing was made about the battery... that battery thing IS NOT TRUE if it was, that means you could put an empty battery and at some point, it will fill up. I did the test and it doesn't fill. Imagine it was the case so we could put a lot of empty battery set up automation when 20 batteries are full drain it, saves resources, and do it again. Fill Drain Fill Drain. But you can't
Hey RazorHead. Sorry if i don't immediately understand. Do you mean that the coal generator does NOT fill the battery and still waste coal while it's animation is finishing? That would be a good thing. But i can't follow what you say afterwards. The animation finishing still uses up resources so it is not free energy that could fill an empty battery as you imply. Or did I understand that wrong? Thanks for the correction if that might be the case :)

Because when you do 70% it does not finish at 70.4%, it finishes at 70% BUT back in time when ONI was still early access with lots and lots of bugs that statement was true. and we use to put minus 2%-3% for every 3 coal generators.
