The Steeldive 1970 (Steeldive Willard) is an iconic homage watch. It pays homage to the legendary Seiko 6105 worn by Capt Willard in Apocalypse Now.
it is therefore better known as a Captain Willard Homage...and there have been many.

The Steeldive Willard has had a resurgence of late with reviewers new and old looking to capitalise on its popularity.
I had left it alone, having had bought it twice prior to my reviewing days. I was not impressed then.
I then bought another from AliExpress in Feb 2023 which I reviewed...it was a disaster!
This is the Steeldive sd 1970c's last chance to impress.
