Steelhead Week: Plunking on the Rogue River

Wouldn’t when you real in it all get tangled the plug hit the corcie and when you have a fish on the corcie the plug would hit it and it come off

I'm going crazy trying to find the bar he's fishing on. The best hints I've found are that there's a road across the river up a fairly steep embankment and in the last second before the camera cuts, you can see a truss bridge in the background upstream. There are only a handful of bridges like that on the Rogue. It can't be the Yellow Galice Road bridge by Hellgate Canyon, nor Depot Street in Rogue River (city), Dodge Bridge near Sam's Valley looks too flat, plus the bridge is downstream of the gravel bar. Could be the old Robertson Bridge, but none of the bars look right and the land across the water looks too flat. The best contender seems to be Lobster Creek near Gold Beach, but the width of the river seems off to me. It's way wider than that during normal conditions that close to the mouth, and he's talking about fishing high water. The width of the river makes it look like he's somewhere between Indian Mary and Grave Creek, but the bridge doesn't fit! I'm loosing my mind!!!

10lb leader is WAY TOO LIGHT for plunking...use 20lb and get em in quickly.....they can't see the leader
